I did receive it the very next day even with standard shipping which is great, and the costume is very cute

My son is almost 8 and wears a size 8, so I purchased the Large, as the product description says it would fit ages 8-10 and I know costumes a lot of the time run small. I did receive it the very next day even with standard shipping which is great, and the costume is very cute, but apparently the size Large is a size 12-14, and is supposed to fit ages 8-10. It is huge! I definitely should have ordered a medium. Well, the shirt and pants are huge, but the head piece and the hat are tiny. I barely got them on his head.. It's not a big deal, since my son wants to stuff the shirt with straw, and I can just pin the pants up so they won't be so baggy.

Nice Costume

Most of the costume is great. It stood up for two play performances of Wizard of Oz for my 5th grader. My only complaint was with the yellow headpiece, which was too small, but I used the existing hood as a guide to sew a new one out of felt, then attached the hat to the top of that. Tip: buy a hula skirt from a Dollar Store or Dollar Tree and cut it up to add "real" straw to neck, cuffs and legs to enhance the costume.

my 9 yr son loved this outfit. all but the yellow headpiece. he said it was itchy. the hat doesn't stay on well either. my son has a big head.

Adorable and very comfortable

SO cute for my daughter's school play. Got for an amazing price after Halloween. Comfortable and decent quality, especially at deep discount. I cut off attached boots and added straw (accessory sold separately) and used a different hat. Thanks Amazon!

great Scarecrow for Wizard of Oz

My son was Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz school play, and he looked great. We did get some real hay, to make the effect better, and he had some face makeup. But the costume was fantastic and exactly what we needed.

Looks nice out of the package, but the fit of the trousers is huge and unwearable for a child.

The costume itself looks great out of the package,but unfortunately the sizing is ridiculous. We ordered 5-7 years old size, for my taller than average 5 year old. The trousers were so big, they were baggy on me (I’m 5’4”). In order to wear it for the intended purpose, to go watch a live production of the wizard of Oz, we needed 12 safety pins to hold it up, and still the trouser material was so big it completely hung down over the boots. The hat fit perfectly. The top fit okay as well. Unfortunately the trousers were so out of proportion to the rest of the costume it sort of ruined the whole thing - we initially thought they must have sent the wrong trouser size, but all items were marked ‘medium’. Hopefully our son still loves dressing up for the Wizard of Oz when he is fifteen! ????
