LED Bulb With Real Glass Globe

I love how these LED bulbs have a real frosted glass globe, which makes them look like an incandescent light. They work great in fixtures where you can see the bulb through the glass, where a normal LED bulb does not look right, or has a glaring bright spot of light that needs to be diffused. They are perfect for low-brightness and warm light applications like hallways lighting, where you do not want a very bright daylight-color 3000K LED. The package also says that these are suitable for installation in completely closed fixtures, which many LED lamps are not.

Really bright white

They're good bulbs but they're REALLY bright. It's a super bright white light. So if you're looking for a nice dim/decorative light this is not what you're looking for. Other than that they seem well made.

Coating inside bulb comes off

The bulb arrived in a sturdy plastic blister pack but the white coating inside the bulb came off. So the bulb looks half glass and half white in blotches. Not attractive at all. I was going to return it but needed it right away so kept it.

A bit too blue ...

I thought it would be a more yellow/white light but it has a slight blue tinge. I always find the blue hues to make reading more difficult -- like trying to read by moonlight.
