Controlling time!

I'm one of those people that decided to save money but wanted my spa clean at the same time. I checked around for the best options available. Coming to the conclusion that Amazon has the best pricing and the best selection. After comparing several my decision was this Westek timer. Westek is a leader in the industry with an excellent history. This 2-Outlet Outdoor Timer with full 15 Amp capacity is ideal for Holiday Lighting, Lawn and Garden Lighting, Pool Pumps and all specialty lighting. It may be set ON/Off up to 48 times per day and the non-removable pins cannot get lost. The rain tight cover protects the timer from the outside elements and it has an 18" heavy duty cord with a 3-prong plug grounded which I felt was important. I've used it now for some time and found it very good on its accuracy. My spa is Crystal clear and my pocket book is happy. For my needs, I'm very happy with my choice and would definitely recommend it.

Glad I bought them, good design, quality appearance, inexpensive too!

This is a VERY early review! I just received these an hour ago. I was a little worried reading some of the reviews about setting the on/off and the unit's quality. Well it was really easy to setup. I used a small flat blade screwdriver. Ai can't see how anyone could set the time with a finger but even a pen would work. I actually think the system for setting is pretty brilliant and clear. Took 1 minute literally but I was only setting one cycle, not 48. I can't imagine it taking more than 5 minutes no matter how many cycles you need to set. The quality seems very good but of course the test will be reliabilty over time. Maybe mine have revised instructions but they were very clear and easy to understand. I will update if they act up. Glad I bought them.

Easy to use

I love my new timer. It is very eady to set and works great. I have it outside, it gets a little protection from the outlet cover. i really like that you can plug 2 different things into it at the same time.

It works but read description about the shock if you leave an open socket

It works, have it plugged into pool filter outside under my deck with no issues with timer. I have to give it 3 stars because where it's hanging I did have to pull it towards me with hand on bottom (as shown, the plastic cover needs to be lifted up to access timer or the Always On/Timer switch. There is an empty socket and even when dry, I receive a small shock when the palm of my hand contacts the open plug! Nothing horrible but an unpleasant tingle which I feel should not be happening. A plastic cover over the non used plug would probably solve this but again, taking 2 stars off because the feeling is NOT pleasant, also happened to my father so we handle with extra care now.

Great for outdoor displays.

Great timer! I loved this timer so much last year I bought a second one for additional displays. Worked great outside, i had no issues with wear and tear. The only thing is the plastic cover had condensation on it at times but it never affected the performance. The additional outlet plugs on the bottom were also very handy.

This timer works very well. I use it in my chicken coop for the day light lamp. I do however need to keep in a plastic ziploc bag leaving the top partially open and cut a hole in the bottom because the hay dust impacted the last one and the covered push down timer buttons stopped working.

I would buy again

Use it on a set of outdoor patio lights. It works great. I had no issues setting it and then updating the settings after DST set it. I would buy again in a heartbeat. *Note: This is sheltered under an eave and it dealt with the humidity of Houston with ease. It has never been directly subjected to rain though, YMMV.

for an analog timer, half hour intervals are as good as you are going to get. I bought this to kick my pool pump and chlorinator on and off throughout the day. works great. the only thing keeping my from making this 5 stars is the contour around the inlets. because the plug portion of my chlorinator has a gfci attached to it I can't push it tight to the timer plugin. there isnabout 3/16 of exposed prong. not great for weather. I have ordered a shirt single plug extension cord which should fix that however. overall, no complaints.

Water resistant not waterproof

Great product for scheduling indoor/outdoor lights etc. I bought this to control plant room lights so I wouldn't have to worry about splashing water around. Excellent heavy duty product. After using it for a week or so I ordered another to control Christmas lights.
