Replaced my 1950s vintage bathtub drain

This was easy to install and fit my vintage tub/overflow assembly pipe. It was much higher quality -- more solidly constucted, with better grooves -- than the first cheap replacement drain I bought at HD, which would not screw in, the threads didn't match. The hardest part of the project was removing the old drain! Installing this new one was a breeze after that. The gasket that came with it would not fit between the pipe and new drain, so I used plumber's putty there in addition to between tub and drain. No more leak, yay!

This Is The One To Buy!

This pop-up bath drain is such a great product. I have used others and they are all inferior, and don't hold up well over time. With it's solid brass body with the chrome finish, this will not break down easily and will last much longer. It is heavy and well made and you can see and feel it. The pop-up works so well and so easily, just a simple push down with your foot to stop the draining and another quick push down to drain. Definitely worth spending a bit more, because it will last longer and work better than other products. The seal is perfect with no leaking and the entire design and materials are superior to others. Don't make the mistake of buying cheaper pop-ups or you will regret it in time. This one rates a perfect 5 stars all the way!

Works perfect.

After attempting to remodel both sides of a duplex, I found that I could not find a drain from the box stores to fit. This product saved my tail.
