Great Appearance and Initial Quality

The overflow drain cover, bolts and tip-toe drain look extremely nice and seem well made--just out of the box (I haven't installed them, yet.). The tubing is, well, just extremely inexpensive tubing given and extremely expensive price tag--as an industry standard. On the positive side: It's the best remedy in a tub renovation project (especially if the drain being replaced was installed with caulk in the threads of the drain and drain shoe), or for a new tub. On the negative side: It's an extremely, extremely over-priced item. Unfortunately, the plumbing industry has everyone hostage when it comes to pricing. In a more reasonable world, the whole package would cost around $12 (mainly for the tip-toe drain).

Functional, easy to work woth

I’m a contractor and don’t know why I was so married to the schedule 40 tub drains for so long—I think they just made me “feel” better. You don’t have to worry about crazy accurate cutting, annoying gluing, and the inevitable cursing when you are off by the slightest bit and have to struggle for 20 minutes to make it work. Remember code requires these be accessible in some way with a panel, door etc. otherwise you should use a glue up drain assembly.

Good product

After messing up the first kit by not lining it up correctly, I bought this adjustable one. I would recommend especially if you are replacing a tub and don’t have the luxury of working with stud walls only. With the drywall on it’s hard to work in a small area and line it up properly. This adjustable one worked well.

not what I needed

I am sure this drain would be fine for other tubs etc. But I didn't realize I needed a Jacuzzi tub specific drain kit. Thank goodness it was easy enough to return.
