had to modify

these are just like the last ones i ordered last year but the center hole of the spools were narrower. i had to use 1/2" drill bit to make them fit onto trimmer.

Works, but ...

Product fits and works, but is not manufactured by WEN. I haven’t measured the length on each spool but they seem more loosely wound than the original spools that came with the unit.

Winding my own is better.

These seem to get tangled and do not feed properly. I resorted to restringing the original reel that came with the tool.

This does not fit a wen 40413 trimmer

Does not fit the trimmer hole for shaft too small. Unfortunately I purchased in Aug 2022 and did not check. Went to use it this spring to find it does not fit. Do not buy for your trimmer!

No Other Option if You have a WEN WEED Wacker

I am dedicated to WEN battery products. The Trimmer string doesn't last long and I am constantly pulling extra string out. Somewhat frustrating. This is my first weed wacker so I can't compare it to other trimmer strings but seems that these tear up quickly.

no fit

I have a group of Wen cordless tools and could recommend them all except for the string trimmer. This replacement string spool doesn't fit. It is too tight on the spindle maybe by 1mm so won't turn freely to feed string as it shortens from use. Could be modified with the right tools and skill and motivation, but why bother, just look elsewhere for something that works off the shelf. Wen tech support was no help as they created a ticket but never got back to me.
