Sizing gone bonkers

I love Wacoal bras. But I think the company has gone coo-coo with its sizing and descriptions. I purchased a 36DD in this bra after wearing 34DD in Wacoal bras for years. I measured myself and had I followed the sizing chart, I should have ordered a 38DD. Thank goodness I didn't as the 36DD clipped on the tightest hooks with no problems and zero tightness. Unfortunately, the cup sizing is off, as the 36DD did not actually fit my DDs. I think I would need a 34DDD/F in this model, or a 36DDD and take my chances with the band stretching.
