Not compatible with "wide mouth" canning lids!

Got these for canning but lids are not compatible with canning lids.

NO lids!

Jars seem fine. Using for dry storage. Description reads "4 jars - 4 lids." I was aware that ONE lid was missing & was supposedly discountrd. However, when I opened the box, there were NO lids to be had. Needed the jars & luckily I ordered lids because a lid to one of my jars I already had got broken. Now I'm back to square 1 as all 4 new lids have to be used for the 4 jars I got today. Feel I should at least get the $16+ (the price of the lids) reimbursed

Not a great buy, though a great item

Amazon's prices have climbed to such an extent, that I've begun searching other places to buy items from, including this one - at great success, I might add.

Yes, All 4 jars came intact on the contrary of other reviews. I use this for komcha, tepache, & kraut. To clean; for Kombucha use Pour a bit of white vinegar then lay the glass on its side for 1min on high in microwave. Let it cool then take out and softly swish the vinegar then dump out. From there air dry. Above method is a substitute cleaning instead of using soap. Just to be safe with the scoby. No issues. Personally don't use the plastic lids. *title is a TF2 reference....

Perfect for booch

Try to get the best price you can, this is a great item, I make kombucha, mustard, sauerkraut - all in these jars. Sweet tea, etc. Cloth and rubber bands are cheap/free, don't need to buy kits with covers. I host booch brewing classes, and these are perfect for guests. I buy product over and over again, sometimes 2 sets of 4 at a time :) Good product, glass is solid, I'm not super gentle with things, you gotta be sturdy for "drop mode" in my house. :)
