Great masher, especially for nonstick pans.

This masher/ricer is great for mashing potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc. It's well made. Easy to clean. Plus, you won't need to worry about scratching up your Nonstick pans. This type of masher is hands down my favorite. I've never understood how/why the loop masher became the go to instrument. This masher is light weight but very sturdy for doing the job. You'll be happy that you purchased this type of masher once you see how creamy your mashed potatoes come out compared to the loop. You'll also be using much less effort when mashing.

It was easy to clean but a lot of material builds up on the bottom when you smash your food because it's raised and not flat

Good for non-stick pot

Purchased to replace a metal masher for my new non-stick pots. I was a little worried when I received this and felt the small ridges on the bottom thinking they might scratch the pot, but when I used it I realized the distribution of these would make it difficult to scratch anything even if you tried. Very sturdy for plastic/silicone, and easier to clean than a traditional metal mesh because of the rounded edges. Great value!

I pick the product because it had small holes because it was really for making egg salad to me it would be hard to use for mashing potatoes
