What I was looking for

These are exactly what I was looking for. Value priced and fast shipping. 4-stars because the base is way too long. Otherwise works as stated.

Simply the best color rendering and pleasant light for vanity lights.

A picture wouldn't do it justice, but swapping these out was the best thing for our vanity lights. Our regular incandescent bulbs were fine, but they gave off a ton of heat, used a ton of energy, and never lasted very long. I wasn't sure about spending this much on LED's but I'm over it now. Energy efficiency is great--I still yell at my kids on principle for not turning off the bathroom lights, but at least now I know I'm spending pennies. The color--is the best part. And I can't describe it. It's just nice. "Accurate" maybe? Their TruWave technology has something and we all love it. You can get a regular bulb and get "mega-bright" but it's not the same as this. I'd say again it's maybe "accurate" to daylight and just feels natural. Spendy? Yes. Worth it? Definitely. No regrets.

GREAT replacement bulbs for bathroom vanities

These are great quality bulbs, like Sylvania always is, the the brightness is great, the color temperature is identical to my old incandescent bulbs, I couldn't be more pleased! Due to the nature of LED bulbs, these bulbs stick out an extra 5/8 inch from the socket, so be sure you have the extra clearance in your fixture.

A little disappointed in light output

UPDATE: After roughly a month of using these, the light output now seems good. Maybe it was skewed perception initially, or maybe I've just gotten used to them, but either way they seem fine now. Let's see if they stand the test of time. I use them in a bathroom vanity (5 bulbs total) and for not more than an hour a day. The 40w incandescents they replaced were in there for probably 10 years, so I expect to get at least that much longevity out of LED's, that's kind of the whole point of paying the premium price for them. Well, that and the energy savings. Total wattage used for 5 LED's = 20w vs 200w for the 5 incandescents. Not bad. The bulbs themselves are fine, I'm sure they'll last a long time as most quality LEDs do, however I'm a little bit disappointed by the brightness as compared with the 40w incandescent bulbs they replaced. I thought they would at least be equal to, if not greater, than the output of what should be the equivalent incandescent. They are the exact same size with E12 (aka candelabra) base, and yet these LEDs are noticeably dimmer. Strange.

Working well and look good in new hallwall light fixtures. DELIVERY PROBLEM!

Product review - BRIGHT and very good looking in new, decorative, hallway light fixtures (Amazon ASIN B0013UAMCM). Significantly more light that the 25W conventional incandescent bulbs. Delivery Issue - I originally ordered 4 packs of 2 bulbs each to have two spares. It's a good thing i did! TWO packages each arrived with one fractured bulb each. The WHY is simple: Amazon warehouse threw them into a large carton with ZERO shipping protection. ZERO air bags. Nothing to keep them from banging together during handling and shipping. I had to return those two, that Amazon replaced immediately AGAIN with ZERO protection against damage within the carton! Ordinarily, I DISLIKE when people complain about shipping in a product review, but in this case, FRAGILE GLASS light bulbs that are not inexpensive, I thought it apropos!

Great incandescent replacement

We have two small IKEA lamps with candelabra bases and these bulbs are have the same warm light as the incandescent bulbs they replaced. I’ll bet they last a lot longer than the incandescents did.

Ample, good-quality light. Too bad about the metal lip

The light from these bulbs renders colors well. No obvious flicker. Brighter than the old incandescent bulbs they replace (for good or bad). Globe is correct style. Only quibble is that the metal rim sticks up above the candelabra socket, making it a little unsightly. I understand that the driver circuit has to go somewhere, and maybe a candelabra socket is too small to hold the electronics. But if you care about such details, for example if it is in a center-piece decorative lamp, you might re-consider these bulbs and stick with incandescents.
