Beautiful, but pills up on 1st wash

I love the feel & fit, but my pants were pilled before I even got to wear them - happened on 1st wash. They are extremely soft, so maybe that is the price to pay for the feel, idk. I'll keep them because they feel so great, but they look too worn to wear out.
