Great fit but falls apart

My son seems to love these shoes, but they are falling apart. The functional pull tab broke off and the threads are all pulling loose. He can wear the shoes but they look terrible. For reference he is 1.5 years old and has had them since Christmas and by the end of January they were very sad looking but functional shoes that are comfortable and easy to get on. We're all about function but it would be nice if they held up longer at the price of shoes I want them to last the short wile they fit....
