A useful clamp, but not as durable as it used to be,

I bought this clamp to replace the one I bought about 7 years ago. After countless uses of the original one, the band finally snapped in the middle and had to be trashed. The replacement, which is the same design as the original, snapped after using it for less than 2 months. I suspect the composition of the plastic used to make the band has changed causing it to be more brittle that the first one was. I got lucky that I'm still able to use the new one, but it won't handle opening up to 3" inches anymore.

Overpriced here

I've had one of these for years and it's held up fine. I needed a couple more so I went to Home Depot because they're under 3 bucks instead of over 10 bucks. Maybe it's because they only spin 360 degrees instead of the 361 in the description here lol
