Safety warning	‎Incorrect installation can be dangerous. The safety barrier must not be fitted across windows. Never install this product on glass doors. If the safety barrier is used at the top of the stairs, it should not be positioned below the top level. If the safety barrier is used at the bottom of the stairs, it should be positioned at the front of the lowest tread possible. This safety barrier is for domestic use with manual closing system. Broken but still works

We had the bottom attachment piece come off fairly early on. Granted, my grandson is really hard on it but it was not quite up to the task. He is older now, doesn't swing on it, and the top attachment is good enough to keep the pets in their place. It is also fairly difficult to manage. Hooking it up and unhooking it is not easy and definitely needs both hands and a foot to make the connection work.

Does not open and close easily. Dog easily slips by while I fight with gate.

If you don’t get the gate latched perfectly immediately, it locks and you have to retract the gate and start over. Unfortunately, it retracts part way and jams. While I am trying to fix it my dog slips out. The gate gets stuck almost every time I open it. From other reviews, this is normal for this gate. Also, the bottom of the gate is loose even when properly locked. Thank goodness my dog has not yet figured out she can slip under it

Didn't last a year

Purchased gate April 2022, almost a year later gate is completely broken. Doest wind back up

Great gate. Works really well but spacers are ugly and makes the hook stand out

I use this gate to block off the hallway where my office is from my constantly roving toddler while I'm working. The gate generally works well but sometimes the twist mechanism needs 1 or 2 additional attempts to "unlock" the roll. The spacers are more suited for when the hook is laying flat rather than perpendicular to the wall. I tried contacting the company in hopes of getting a stl of just the bottom of the hook's base so I can 3d print my own but they ignored me, so I ended up designing and printing my own spacer that fits the hooks in perpendicular cleanly and also to accommodate the baseboard of my home (there's a slight angle to it) .

It works really well.

I have a wide open staircase and didn't know what to do about visiting toddlers. There was no baby gate large enough, so we started moving furniture to block access. That only worked once. They started climbing immediately on their 2nd visit. When I came across this, I wasn't sure how effective it would be but it's great. Kids have pushed on the mesh and it barely gives. There is nothing they can grab to climb it either. I also really like that when it's not in use, it almost completely disappears. It's a little tricky to operate when retracting the gate, but I got the hang of it pretty quick. I can't reach the handle and the release at the same time so I grab the mesh wherever it's comfortable, twist the release, and pull a little extra mesh out. Keep tension when you switch hands to unhook the handle, and feed it back into the roll enclosure. Make sure you sink your screws into studs, I wouldn't trust drywall expansion anchors for this.

Great product. Overall happy with my purchase.

The one thing I dislike about this product is that in order to pull the gate out, you have to hold the twist knob in position. This is difficult to do if you have to pull the gate wider than your arm length! I wish there was a lock and unlock position on the knob.

Not very rigid at top or bottom

This product was easy to install and might work well for small children and small/medium-sized children, but it does not work well for mischievous cats that apparently know how to flatten themselves and burrow underneath the flexible fabric seams and the bottom (top is flexible too). I've tried relocating it, rearranging the catch hooks, and now tried laying down small blankets and towels to put some for of barrier down to no avail. It's a great product that just doesn't work for my needs of separating mischievous cats.

Need two hands to open.

It is strong and can handle weight from a two year old push against but it’s difficult to open. You need both hands to maneuver the release mechanism.
