Not what I was expecting…

I have been a fan of Shea Moisture products for awhile now. So I decided to give this body wash a try, and surprisingly, I am extremely disappointed. The scent smells similar to a pet’s oatmeal shampoo, but thankfully, it fades quickly. I will not be purchasing this body wash again.

For "extra dry skin" but dries me out

I'm comparing this to my favorite body wash for a very long time: the Shea Butter African Black Soap body wash. I love it! I don't even care about any possible detoxifying properties. It is simply my favorite body wash. It is not stripping at all and leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturized. They are, however, discontinuing it - as it would seem. So I tried this new body wash from Shea Moisture. I thought I chose the most moisturizing option from their new lineup - but it leaves my skin feeling a little tight and dry. It is VERY concentrated (maybe too soapy in the end) and my skin did feel smoother, but still stripped of moisture. Also - the fragrance is a faint nutty scent. I expected more of an aroma-therapeutic experience! It's quite boring and unimpressive. I guess they're lowering their prices and quality level. I'm very disappointed!

Dried my skin out

I was hoping it would be ok on my skin but it dried it out It did smell good though

Arrived with a broken cap. Smells good. Doesn't really moisturize skin that well.

This product arrived with the cap partially broken and no seal on the cap. The smell is amazing and when you're washing with it the lather is great. My issue with this product is it claims to be a moisturizing product. Now I don't really have super dry skin. My skin is more sensitive than anything. Ever since I started using this product I've noticed my arms itch every now and then. I'm not saying it is due to the product use but there may be some correlation. Altogether it is not a bad product as it smells wonderful and I enjoy using all natural products. However, the Nivea moisturizing bodywash is cheaper and seems to not leave me scratching after usage. Good product but they should send you another one if the one you receive is unsealed and damaged.

Lid came cracked/broken

Upon receiving my order the lid of it was cracked/broken. I really like this body wash but was very disappointed in how it was delivered to me.

Stinks. Ugh. But moisturizes ok

Whoever thinks this is a smell someone would want in their personal hygiene routine is bonkers. I’m going to try another scent because I like most everything else about this product. It moisturizes ok although my skin and my bath pouf feel a little slimy after using it, rather than that quenched feeling you get with really good moisturizing products. The bottle is very small for what you pay but it’s a good company. I want to like it more than I do so I’ll give another scent a shot before I completely write it off.
