Never cook on high heat! Read on....

First of all, read the instructions for the use and care of Gotham Steel pans if you've never owned them. Medium heat will bring water to a boil! My husband is the cook in our house and told me to never use high heat, as you do not need it with this set, and using high will affect the nonstick finish. When I cook, I always start at high heat. He teases me and tells me there are more settings than just high for a reason!????????. With this Gotham cookware, I believe him and have found that medium heat will boil water. He absolutely loves this set and doesn't want me to ruin them! Anyway, he cooks and I do clean up.....and it's a breeze with these!???? I would definitely recommend this cookware to anyone, but, treat them with kindness and love, and I believe they will last a very LONG time. Hope this review helps.

This is the only cookware I use

I am in love with these pots and pans. I own a restaurant and I do all the cooking there (Cajun food, lots of blackening and boiling) and I have tried SO MANY different commercial pots and pans and nothing compares to Gotham Steel. They’re recommended only for home use, of course, but I just want it to be known that this is my third set of cookware from them and it’s not because their stuff is wearing out; it’s because I keep adding to my collection and now it’s the only thing I’ll use at home AND at work. They’ve never worn out after more than a year of heavy use. Truly non-stick, super easy to clean, and there are so many different combo sets you’re sure to find something you like. Not sure? Order a single pan and try it out. I promise you’ll replace all your cookware with Gotham Steel.

Not bad, not great

So, these are decent but, the frying pans are all too small. I’m going to have to buy a few larger ones to complete the new set. These are non-stick, but things don’t just slide off like advertised. To clean them, it does sometimes take a little work. But generally speaking, yes, they’re non-stick. The last set I had - the handles on the lids never got hot. The handles on these lids do, hot enough to burn you. Be careful. The link they give to register products does not work. I tossed one pan in the dishwasher, and it came out fine. In the future, when I want to buy a new set of pots and pans, I probably won’t repurchase these. They’ll do for the time being.

the clean up is as advertised!!!

The wife ordered these, but superb purchase! handles are well riveted to the vessels beautiful color ... best part .. true story! first night we got these, i was warming up some leftover spaghetti, i have an electric stove ... and let me just say -- it sucks -- they suck -- electric stoves "SUCK" i digress moving on =) i had the stove top set to 3.5ISH covered the pot and went to play PUBG .. long story short i totally forgot about the warming of the spaghetti and absolutely scorched the food .. and i mean i can see the burnt noodles through the smoke type LOL .. i dumped the pot into the trash ... and low and behold the entire scorched mess slid out without leaving a trace, i literally washed it with mild dish soap and it was like nothing happened looked like brand new. ... SOLD !!!!

Great home kitchen cooking set

This pot/pan collection is great for home kitchens... light weight, almost non-stick, good heat diffusion. They hang on any style hook or pack neatly into cupboards. Challenge with this set is the smaller size of the 2 large pans ( 1 square shaped & 1 round w/covers). I wish they'd been at least 2 inches larger in diameter. For home kitchens, these pots & pans will allow a somewhat inexperienced family cook look & feel like a next level chef that no longer burns, overcooks, has food stick to pans, or appears to hopelessly fumble in the kitchen, at the range. This set looks handsome as well.

Easy to wipe clean

So far, absolutely nothing sticks to the pans. I can let them cool down, and then wipe out any remaining food or residue with a cloth. One drawback is that the top edges of the pans seem very soft; for example, if you are the type of person to hit a measuring spoon on the top edge of a pan to get any remaining stuff out, be aware that you will likely leave an indentation in the edge of the pan. It doesn't seem to affect anything with the coating or performance, just a cosmetic defect. I learned this the first time I tried it, and now I will only use non-metal measuring spoons (and try to avoid hitting the pan edge.

A year later

I’ve have been using this set for a year now - the frying pans have lost all the non stick coating. (I have only used rubber utensils on them) They’re good for the price - but don’t expect long term use out of them.
