Let's Be Honest...

When I looked at the reviews, one sentence kept coming up. "They are so elegant." No. They are not. The material is cheap, they hang crooked, and the valance on one panel is an inch or more longer than the other panel. BUT! The design is very appealing and, despite their problems, they look pretty good on my sliding door. Since I plan to tie them back and will probably never close them, they are okay for that door. All of the flaws will be hidden. But I haven't installed the second set yet. On my second door sliding door, I want to keep the curtains closed all of the time. If they are as crooked and have the same length issues as the first set, I will probably decide to send all of them back. So my fingers are crossed that the second set will be better made than the first. On a side note... even with the "darkening" panel behind them, they are super-sheer. That's not an issue for me, but it might be for others. And the burgundy color isn't really burgundy, either. It's more of a deep red. It was close enough for me to be okay with it, but if you are looking for a truly deep burgundy, you will likely be disappointed. Still, I have to admire the design details. Despite the cheap fabric and flawed measurement, they did manage to get that right!

Cheap but not ugly, a little sheer

I just wanted some inexpensive curtains in a color to match my room. These have an attached privacy curtain. I actually just use a hairclip to pull the panel back during the day so the privacy curtain can be used on its own. When both the panel part and privacy curtain part are closed, the light will shine through a little.

Beautiful, but careful, small snags

I love the rich navy color and the stems and buds are more gold than tan. Careful bc the curtains arrived with tiny snags in embroidered stems and buds...but only in a few places...really unnoticeable once up..just careful not to cause any more snags from the embroidery pattern. Curtains are lined with a satin lining. Curtains are truly eloquent.
