Pain in the neck to install but looks great. Didnt realize this was only the entry portion of the knob. Didnt even know someone would sell a doorknob like that. Super inconvenient to go to install and realize I needed the back still... Thankfully I have prime that didnt take forever.

Very nice looking well built

Note that the top trim rosette (for the lock) is square, not round as pictured. We had decided to "settle" for the round rosette, but were VERY pleasantly surprised to find that it matched the door rosette (just a little smaller). Very nice looking well built, with a nice matte finish.

I recommend the Kwikset

This handle has a defect in the latch that causes it to stop working. I had to keep taking it apart to get my front door open. Had to pay a locksmith to look at it thinking I maybe doing something wrong and he confirmed that the mechanism in the latch is faulty. Unfortunately for me it was one day past the return date. I have reported it but no response. I recommend the Kwikset.

good quality but no strike plate for the handle set?

It makes for a nice entry set... but there was no strike plate for the latch, there was a plate for the deadbolt (but not black). the little cover for the lower screw of the big handle is flimsy as others have said... had to silicone it on to make sure it wouldn't fall off.
