Product is as described. I’ll give it 4 stars. Just because it’s good for the price. Easy to install. At less than $20 you can’t expect top of the line quality. It’s made out of press board with a very thin glued on veneer. The first one I received was all chipped and cracked. The second one I received the veneer had a couple tiny little chips, but whatever. It gets the job done and was exactly as described. If you’re looking for something of high quality pay the money for a better one, or make one yourself. Product is fine.

Made out of cardboard basically, even the screws had trouble going in wood. Wouldn’t buy again.

I bought this to mount one pole (reel included). If they had a one pole version of this, I would have gotten that instead. But I couldn't find any and I was looking for a quick turn-key solution. I do have other poles so, why not. But my only concern was getting one particular pole out of harms way. A family heirloom. In my haste to lose the instructions, not measure, and just get on with it, I made a few mistakes. But not all the installation trouble is my fault alone.... well ok maybe it is, but I won't take the blame for the hardware they included. I'll take the blame for not measuring first and placing the mountings too far apart for my other poles to fit. But in my defense, I had no level, so I figured I'd just mount it over the edges of a world map on my wall to get it square and it would look nice with the map as a backdrop. At least the one pole that counts fits, I did make sure of that first. Now, I could get my other rigs up despite the length issue if I put the telescope joints back together. But I don't really want to hang them that way. And there is another installation problem stopping me. As it turns out, I installed the pole rack upside down. Yesssss, upside down. It still works, sorta, but it also depends on the rig. It should have been mounted with the little comma shaped hole on one side facing down to cradle the pole tip. It would have been good if they had cut the cradle in it both ways, then it wouldn't matter. The reel on the heirloom pole is inline with the pole so it lays on the upside down rack hmmm ok, not great but ok. It'll come down in an earthquake I'm sure. But these others are spincasters. They don't balance right so I don't trust it. Now for my biggest gripe. I could now take this down, remeasure, and remount it right side up. Easy-peasy right? Well no. Because even if I had not made these mistakes, my hands would still be blistered from turning the screws into the anchors that are now spinning freely in the wallboard. Yes, the biggest gripe I have here is that universal gripe we have probably all encountered at some point, cheap-o wall anchors. Too many times, too many times.... I knew as soon as I saw them, this was not going to go well. And of course, I was right as always and proceeded anyway. So, now its up, spaced to far apart, upsidedown, and wobbly because I couldn't get the screws to go down all the way. lol. So, please manufacturers of everything and anything... stop cheapening up your products with cheap-o wall anchors. Pleaseee for the love of god. I'm probably going to have to rip this off the wall to get it down now. By the way, if you are planning to mount this so your poles lay horizontally against the wall, it's probably not going to hold as many as 8 rigs. Not unless you have a mix of both right-handed and left-handed reels on those rigs (if spincasters), you have flyfishing poles perhaps, or literally are only going to put up just the poles (no reel). 4 rigs is more likely. The handles on the reels will get in the way if they are side mounted. Especially.... if ... you ... mount the rack upside down lol.

Saved the poles while organizing them

The media could not be loaded. Gift for my husband who had stacked up the fishing poles in a corner. When one fell over and broke, I knew we had to do something different. Easy to attach to the wall in the garage. Keeps them safe and organized.
