Very nice reel for the cost

This is a very nice reel at a reasonable price. I just upgraded my daughter to this from a spincast reel and it works great. very smooth.

Very fast shipment!

I can't wait to use it! The model I got 10Is perfect for panfish/Crappie 4-8lb line! You could probably use lighter and heavier line but idk. I bought it For 1 purpose to lend it to somebody to use catching Slabs of Crappie! I'm very happy with this it's better than I thought it would be! Quantum Has always made good reels For a good price. 1980 or 1984 they started and I'm not sure When the start of producing reels. I'm getting Sidetrack..... I'm sorry lol This is a good real! I'm definitely fitting' to purchase more! Highly recommended to fellow Crappie, Trout, Bluegill, Pan fish in general fisherman that like don't like to spend money this for you! I bet you like it! Solid spinning reel

I buy one of these at the beginning of the fishing season. Not because they are bad, but because i don't open them up and clean and oil them. I am sure if you cleaned them they would last multiple years. Everything works as it should and is nice and smooth. I once asked a redfish if they minded being caught by a low-price reel and he said he was not offended. If it works for the fish it works for me.

Amazing reel for the price

I like the big handle, its all very smooth and comparable to my shimano i replaced it with, color is great, took it to my local pond today had a 3lb bass the drag system did its job very nicely and handled it well and i like the nice loud click it has when it spools out for the days i bait and wait

Great price!!!

Just received early. that gets at least 1 star. Yay for Amazon. Pairing this reel with a 15' Fiblink Moonsniper surf rod & loading the reel with 25lb braided Warknife line. Looking forward to doing some surf fishing when traveling to Florida next year with the wife. Hopefully targeting Tarpon on the next Mullet & or Minnow run from some of the excellent beaches in the west Florida area. This combo should do the trick. I'm hopeful to get past the breakers & into some Tarpon action while on vacation next year. Once I receive the rod & line. I'll follow up on this review. As I plan on getting the rest of this package in a timely manner. I'll assemble this combo & take it out to the local high school & do some distance casting as to get my feel for this set up. 1st time with any Quantum product & from most of the reviews I've read I hopefully won't be disapointed. My only real concern is about the drag? Not sure how this reel will hold up under pressure. I'll have a better idea when the line & rod come in & I can put it to the test.

Great reel, strong and sturdy!

I like the sturdiness and strength. I use this reel in Mass. for black sea bass and porgies. The gears didnt strip on these large fish.
