Pretty Pattern, Horrible Cut

I am familiar with Ruby Rd., and I wear a medium in their tops. I ordered this dress in a medium because I wanted to make sure it fit across my bust, which is a 36D. According to the size chart provided, medium was the correct size in this dress for me as well. The pattern of the fabric is so pretty, and it looks exactly as it does online. The dress fits perfectly across my bust and torso. The sleeves are too short for my taste, but I expected that, and I planned to wear a cropped sweater or jean jacket over the dress. Below my rib cage is where this dress fails in every way. It both looks and makes me feel unattractive. The cut is A-line, and it is so round and exaggerated, I would not even wear this dress around my house because I would embarrass myself. I am keeping the dress, however, and I will use it for a cover for my car.
