This review is for RoomMates RMK2782GM Watercolor Palm Trees Peel And Stick Wall Decals. This set is an assortment of palm tree foliage, palm tree trunks and various clumps of vegetation to put on, next to and generally around the palm trees to create whatever visual arrangement you have in mind. Here's what you'll find in the package: **One large decal with foliage for 3 palm trees **One smaller decal with foliage for 1 palm tree **Six small plant/small vegetation/weeds decals to place over the palm tree trunks and in various other spots to give depth and perspective **One nicely colored round decal of a tropical sun First Thing To Do: **BEFORE BUYING, MEASURE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE WALL SPACE you have available. This decal set makes a rather large mural and you need to know in advance that your surface area is sufficiently large that you can mount them. THE SINGLE palm tree DOES NOT have to be placed with the other trees and can be used on an opposing surface for balance if you need it. Handling The Decals: **The largest decal, (3 tree foliage) is one piece with many points, curves and pointy detail. Remove it slowly and patiently. It releases easily from the backing and you MUST GO SLOWLY and be patient to keep from tearing away some of the details. This is NOT a reason to avoid purchasing. It's easy when you use slow, consistent, gentle pulling on the decal. After considering where I was placing this piece, I decided to apply it FIRST to the wall area, as everything else goes on or around this piece. **The palm tree trunks are separate decals. They are quite long and require the same gentle pulling to remove them from the backing. The 3 that go with the 3 tree foliage are shaped (pattern is cut) to place against a matching shape in the foliage decal where each trunk meets the palm leaves. **The second palm tree top must be removed with the same care as the larger foliage decal. Care, patience and are, again, key. **There is no need to place the palm tree decals in a group of four, as the fourth (left-most in the picture) can be mounted by itself away from the group of three. **Plants/weeds/ground cover should be placed to accent the piece. **Peel and stick the decal of the tropical sun where you wish. I peels easily and is the easiest to handle and place. Placing The Decals: **Clean the surface before applying the decals. The surface should be dry **Largest tree tops are first. Once removed from the backing, place a large side, or section of the decal against the wall, smooth it out and then gently keep pressing the remainder of the decal to the wall, pressing any bubbles out to the side as you go. It's really quite easy if you take your time **Do the tree trunks (for the large tree tops decal) next. Position the top of each trunk at its matching cutout in the foliage **Smooth the decals down with a soft, dry cloth or you hand **Remove the grass/weeds last and place as you wish **Smooth everything down again to remove any final bubbles. You're done Pros: **Easy to peel off the backing **Decals are large and when removing from the backing can fold over and stick to themselves. The 'Pro' in this is that the surfaces pull apart easily with a gentle, consistent force. Easy does it. Were it not so easy to separate the sticky surfaces this would certainly be a 'Con' **Once applied to the wall, the decals are easily removed for adjusting and re-positioning. I moved them around two or three times and they stuck down to another surface as well and easily as the first application. **When the time comes, these decals will remove easily. **The colors shown in the description matched those of the decals I received. I use a Mac Mini and the monitor is color calibrated, making the colors I see close to what is received. Cons: **Large, intricate decals require patience and gentle handling. **There is a clear edge surrounding the decals pattern pieces that remains slightly visible after the decals are smoothed against the wall or other surface. It's not too terribly noticeable, yet it can be seen. Most likely you'll be the one to see it. Others seeing it likely won't be so observant. Recommend The Product? The only cautionary word is that as soon as you find a decal sticking to itself, you should gently pull the surfaces apart. It's easy. I don't think it would be so easy if a large stick area folded over on itself. That didn't happen to me, I add it only as a heads-up. So, yes I recommend this product. If you have a blank space on a wall or other surface, these are a good choice to fill it. The decals are easy to place, remove and apply to a different location or surface and don't seem to lose their stickiness.
