I wish they were made of wood to give them more stability.
They encourage kids to be involved.

Nice quality, excellent talking topics
These are a pretty sturdy foam, very vibrant and the topics are printed on there nicely. I'm a little concerned that over time the topics may start to rub off. That is the only concern that I have with these. The topics printed on them are excellent, and I believe these could be used across all of the elementary grade-levels! I'm very glad that I purchased these after someone had gotten me the same brand 'writing prompt' dice, which were also nice quality. I'm excited to use these in the classroom!

These arw super helpful
I have 2 kids on the spectrum and 1 of them has a very hard time with emotions. These are pretty amazing at helping to communicate the emotions in situations

Odd questions & pricey
The low level questions are good and it was natural to work through them. The higher level questions felt a little forced and poorly phrased. To be fair, some of my impressions may be based on using the cubes with a child with ASD... but it's also what it's advertised for. I was also surprised to find that Target sells them and for about $2-3 cheaper.

Great activity to engage children and youth of all ages!
I love using these to enhance communication, self-disclosure, and social skills of children and youth. There really is no age limit for using these. Ignore the Age 5. Just read the question for non-readers.

Getting kids talking
Found these really useful when working with kids with SEN (Emotional and Behavioural concerns) - great conversation starters and also allow movement during sessions.

Great learning tool
This item arrived safe and well packaged. This is a really fun little set of dice like cubes that doubles as a learning tool... Or is it a great learning experience that doubles as a little game?! Great for those with special educational needs! Either way, I like it! This is quite a fun way to interact with your child and discuss behaviour, linking it to questions and situations. They create a fantastic talking point and really help children to understand about each emotion, both within themselves and identifying them within others too. I highly recommend this product.

Brilliant and simple.
What a brilliant way to get children (well anyone really) to talk about things. The set consists of six cubes like large dice made of a hard sponge type material so they are quiet when you roll them. I have washed them and they wash and dry well, I gave them a good rub and the writing hasn't come off yet. This is what you get: Two Orange dice. These are designed to start off a conversation, a way for children to introduce themselves. Two blue dice. These are social dilemmas, how would you deal with a certain situation, Two green dice. These deal with emotions and feelings. The idea is that you take the colours in turn, either in small groups or one to one, roll the dice and ask the question. These would be useful in a learning situation or a children's party or for a cub, brownie or church group. I got this to try and help my autistic grandson open up and share his feelings. He isn't actually interested in playing the "game" and of course I won't force him but I have asked him some of the questions without using the dice with interesting results so these are still useful to me as they have helped me to ask the right questions to start conversations.

Inspired idea
So simple, as the best ideas always are, yet so effective. Just a throw of a dice encourages a child to talk, or to toss again if they don't like the option that comes up - and of course, with 6 dice (die is the plural but it always sounds so wrong to me) you've got loads of variables. Interesting, interactive, a novelty but not a one trick pony. Easy to use, easy to keep, can be used for short or long sessions - just ideal. At £12 (and even I can do the maths on that one for each dice) they will be an invaluable resource for years and years. Genius stuff.
