Wiki ranked this very good,, so I took the plunge. After finding out someone successfully spooled 50'@3/8, I decided to try ~100'@3mm. The rating of A/C cable is as much as winch strenth of winch ~ 1100lbs NOT 1500LBS and attach to 2" truck mount. I need that much cable for pulling my utility trailer up a hill project. Reese produces good quality so it should not fail. I will update l8tr on progress.

Great replacement winch

Works great. My original has a shorter arm, so I ended up using that one. The longer arm that came with the winch hits the boat, so I’ll use the old one.
