6 hp Mercury

Old one had worn seal and leaked hose was ok so just replaced this end

Works Great Newer Mercury 6HP

Works great, no leaks & clips on as it should. It was a mission getting on the 5/16 hose but I guess that's good. It felt tight enough to not need a hose clamp but added SS ones anyways.

Does the job well

I ordered this to attach to a new fuel line for my 1988 Merc 9.9 HP, and it fits the motor fine. It's rated for a 5/16" fuel line, whereas the generic Universal fuel line (Attwood) is a 3/8" hose but it fits in plenty snug. It might be better to use a regular hose clamp instead of the included squeeze together one but that does work as well - careful not to squeeze too hard or you'll break the ear off the clamp. The fit into the line is so snug though, that you won't have to worry about it falling out even if the clamp breaks.

Perfect fit for 1997 Force 120

After my local marine store sold me the wrong part and wouldn't accept a return, I shopped online and found this beauty. Contrary to what a few other reviewers stated, this Quicksilver connector was a perfect fit for 5/16 ID fuel line--it is very snug, but that's what you need. The plastic clamp that comes with it only needed about 3 clicks and it was just right. I highly recommend this replacement part for your boat. Pleased with my purchase.

A part where OEM makes a difference

On any outboard, it's critical that this fitting makes an airight seal at the engine or air in the fuel line can result, leading to trouble starting and or running the engine. I found that the generic Sierra replacement part did not seat snugly on my Merc and there was too much play in the connection for my liking. Problem solved or greatly reduced by replacing it with this part.

Good fit and quality

Fits the 2001 mercury 30HP 2 stroke on my duck boat, stiff spring on the catch locks on very secure to the motor and doesn’t move at all once clicked in. Mold and gaskets look good and tight. Like other reviews say it fits the 3/8” gas line, can’t say anything on fitting a 5/16” line but I would guess it won’t.
