Nice looking, simply-designed fixture with bright light

I recently replaced siding on my house and wanted a new porch light for the front door. Decided to look for one with built-in LED lighting. Should last a very long time and no regular bulbs to replace. One of the problems with LED light fixtures is many of them don't put out much light, so I narrowed my choices down to the ones with the highest lumens. This light is very bright, which I'm OK with. It says it's dimmable, so if I want to I can install a dimmer switch in the house for it. You can't tell from the picture, but it has a diffuser cover over the LED "bulbs". I don't think the open bottom will be an issue, but we'll see. I believe that LED fixtures usually are open. Even LED light bulbs will tell you on the packaging that they are not for use in closed fixtures. At least they used to say that; I don't know if they do anymore. Wish the description would tell you the dimensions of the base. This was important information for the fiber cement siding installers to know. Had to wait till the light arrived so they could make a block to mount it on. I see no reason not to give it five stars. If that changes, I'll update the review. The only thing that could change is if the LED lights burned out, but I doubt that will happen.

Great light, easy install - but has open bottom (not shown in photos or description)

Just installed yesterday, but really like this. Easy install, in fact the old lamp brakes fit this lamp, so I didn't have to do anything but turn off electricity, unscrew 2 thumb screws, unscrew the three electric caps, and reverse to place! Then I installed the glass, again 2 thumb screws, easy. Great lighting, more than I anticipated. I am ordering another to match in back, then may order 3 more for garage. Only possible problem is that they have an open bottom and may be an attraction for spiders and such. I wish they had a simple closed base to seal out bugs, but just got it and may try and make some "adapters" to fit. I think if I make some circular glass or plexiglass pieces to custom fit underneath they might glue in. The current glass fits well to bottom, so not sure if I would have room to place inside underneath bottom of glass rim, so I'll play around with it and see. But other than that outstanding for the price for me. Hoping for no bugs, but we'll see.....

Beautiful, Quality fixture.

This is a beautiful light fixture that we used at our side entrance to our home. We have front gas lanterns and this fixture complements them perfectly. It appears to be a high end quality fixture - well made and very attractive.

Great light for a large door/garage

Using these lights at my garage entrance. Perfect size for the application. The light is very bright. The LED bulb is recessed so it will not blind you. Hammered glass is nice too.
