Rim bent

The rim bent after a couple months using the pool other than that it’s a great basketball hoop

Yes, BUT......

We like it, BUT.... there has to be a better way to attach the hoop to the backboard. Within hours of using it, the screws worked themselves loose. And there has been absolutely no dunking or holding on to the rim causing this to happen, Just normal use. I recently secured the screws with Loctite in the hope that will be a permanent solution. There hasn't been any basketball activity since so can't say how that worked. Judging from others' comments, this is a recurring problem and I can't believe the manufacturer hasn't come up with a solution - having bolts go all the way through the backboard would be a suggestion. Lockwashers may also help.

Quality issues with hardware.

It’s a shame that Poolmaster took the cheap route and went with zinc instead of stainless steel for the screws. This unit has only been in service for about 3 months and the provided screws are corroding. I contacted their customer service via email and after explaining the situation, they agreed to send me new screws. Never did receive them. Went to local hardware store and bought (4) stainless steel screws at a whopping cost of .68 cents each. I’m sure they would have cost Poolmaster a lot less than their durability reputation.

Decal started chipping after only a few months

The decal starting chipping awat after only 3 months and bow is an eyesore. Cant get anyone at company to help.me and website has no contact info

Lots of fun.

One of the orange coils that holds the net on broke off after a months use. Is there a way to replace just the hoop? Otherwise the setup is sturdy and my grandchildren (mostly teenagers) love playing basketball in the pool.

Good basket and design but rim bends/breaks way too easily

We had an earlier version of this product and it lasted for many years. The plastic was durable and held up well with lots of sun exposure. It was also well used for basketball. We decided to replace it with the newer version of the product. The plastic seems very much the same design with minor changes. The rim however is made out of some cheap composite metal that easily bends. Like other reviewers the rim broke after minor use in one day. No dunking or slamming or misuse. The rim just isn't designed to take normal wear and tear. I don't know how this possibly could have escaped the quality control people at the manufacturer. It's unacceptable. Poolmaster, please fix your product and provide a good quality rim.

Nailed rusting after 2 days of use

Nice hoop, easy to put together and teens love it. Unfortunately, after 2 days of use the hoop is loose and nails are already rusted which makes it a challenge to tighten to the hoop. Disappointed that screws are already rusted. Hope it lasts.

GREAT ADDITION TO POOL

We purchased one of these for our pool years ago and our children and friends loved it! It's been used for at least 15 years and has lasted throughout (although the emblem/words do fade from the sun--to be expected of course). My daughter and son-in-law just purchased their new house and we bought this one for their pool. We know that they will love it even more as their family size increases!!
