Works just like the original

After many years of using one of these in our dog water fountain it finally gave up so we got a new one and initially the first one we got was missing the Impaler but was able to get it replaced with ease and it works perfectly five stars

Thank goodness for replacements

The original chord stopped working. Very pleased we could replace just the chord and not the whole unit.

Didn’t last

Bought this in January as the one that came with our original fountain died after a few years. This lasted only 3-4 months before it quit working. We clean the dog fountain regularly so that wasn’t the issue. Also, the plug-in gets very hot.

Only lasted 31 days. Petsafe did not care.

As the title says the motor stopped working after 31 days, the original lasted well over a year. I contacted customer service they told me I just needed to clean it and then it would work, I checked if it was dirty (shouldn't be after 31 days) Contacted them again asked if I could get a replacement and they ignored me .....

Great replacement

I got this to replace the original pump on my Drinkwell dog water fountain, which I accidentally dropped while I was cleaning the fountain. I didn't realize that I could take the cord and pump apart from the fountain until I got this replacement and saw how easy it was. It definitely makes cleaning the fountain much easier to be able to remove the pump and replace it once the fountain is cleaned. I also realized how much junk can accumulate inside the pump when I dropped the original one and it jarred all the gunk loose inside. Now I know to rinse the pump when I clean the fountain as well. I'm pleased with the replacement-the only real issue I have is that even at the lowest flow rate, the constant trickle of water can be heard several rooms away and sometimes sounds like a faucet has been left trickling somewhere. I've caught myself going around the house checking faucets until I realize it is the dog bowl running.

Replacement died too..

This is the second pump now, and it's doing the same thing the original started doing. It's grinding and making an awful noise, then seizes up.
