So all you guy reviewers and all you fisher-people, shut your ears now; I'm going to speak heresy and tell you that I'm totally not using this for fishing. Or tools. Or even crafts. Although yeah, looked at in a certain light, you *could* say I had fishing lures in here, or the tools of the trade - I was looking for something really specific to store my jewelry in the other day. Something a) portable, b) well-built, and c) big enough to hold all my crappy sentimental junk jewelry as well as my couple of nicer bits and my military ribbons. All the stuff purpose-built for jewelry was either a piece of furniture, too small, or had reviews discussing design flaws that indicated poor workmanship. Mostly, this was prompted by some major fires in our area that meant we had bug-out bags packed for more than a month while the firefighters did their thing. I'm sitting here contemplating which of my jewelry I would want to keep, and got disgusted with the idea of leaving any of it behind. And it's long past time I got organized and stopped leaving my stuff all over the house. Nothing made for it was looking good, though, and believe me, I searched for hours. Eventually, Amazon's search algorithm got fed up with my hunting around for ever and ever and started suggesting other storage options, and I thought: toolbox! Well, it's not quite a toolbox, but close enough. Tackle box it is. All my bits and pieces fit with room to spare (ok, not much room to spare, but a little.) They stay in their little compartments, too, even if I shake them around a little. I stuck foam down in some of the compartments (canibalized from my pistol case, if that makes any horrified macho men feel any better) and it's perfect. Not pretty, not fancy, but perfect for what I need. The only thing that made me sigh was the fact that there's no cases in the two side compartments. I had to measure those and go looking for something to fit in there. The "SE - Storage Container - Plastic, Clear, 14 Section - 87065DB" is the one I picked; it fits perfectly (a little too perfectly, I'll need to stick some sort of handle on there to get it out easily in the future). Anyways, it works, it's solid, it holds my stuff, and it's not too expensive. Hooray!
