G2 is softer than G3

I need a soft brush to avoid gum irritation. Philips makes it confusing to select the right brush because its website says G2 bristles have medium firmness, yet the box they come in labels them as "ultrasoft." Likewise, the Philips website says G3 bristles are soft, yet the box labels them as "medium." Having tried both brush heads, I found that G2 is softer than G3. Also, the G2 head is more compact, making it easier to reach tight spots. Finally -- although all Philips brush heads are overpriced -- G2 is more cost-effective.

Massage gums

It was suggested by my dentist that I use a soft toothbrush for gum care. This toothbrush is great for massaging gums. It is so much better than the one that came with the electric toothbrush. I just wish the replacement brushes were not so expensive.

Genuine, fits great with toothbrush

Genuine Sonicare head replacements. Fit 3 different models of Sonicare toothbrushes we have and work great. Just wish they weren’t so darn expensive - although Amazon is a great place to go for these as they are often less expensive then the in-store price for the Sonicare genuine heads.

There is no doubt that, at least in our experience, the 'real thing' (ie. genuine Philips brushes) works very much better than the knockoffs.
