Still my preferred scoop

At first I gave this scooper a five star review. Love the solid build and larger capacity. Then I lowered the review to two stars because the handle broke a week after the return period. It is true, as others have said, that the handle is very hard to pull. The force required caused it to break prematurely. Amazon does give a way to contact the company after the return deadline. I did that and received prompt and excellent customer service. My replacement is on the way. This time I'll reinforce the handle, which will probably make it easier to use too.

Nice scooper, but you need a powerful grip to open jaws!

One handed pooper scoopers are very similar. I highly prefer them over the two handed rake and pan versions. This one is nicely sized for a small to medium dog. The only caveat is that you'll need strong hands to open the jaws. My hands (which are admittedly small) had trouble after half a dozen "scoops" at a time. I'm hoping the spring loosens up. Overall a nice product.

Works better than expected, but the quality doesn't feel great

With three dogs, this is already a good decision in my book. Trying to deal with all that every day using bio bags by hand wasn't great. This made the job a lot faster and easier. I just wish it was made with tougher plastic as I can just tell this won't last long, but the price was decent so if I get a year I'd be very happy. Works pretty well even on crab grass with a little technique.

Hard to use

This item is supposed to be a mobility aid to help people who have a hard time vending over or who just don't want to. But the handle is so hard to pull. I can barely do it and anyone with poor grip strength or wrist issues couldn't do it at all. Plus there are sharp teeth on the bottom making it cut into the ground or floor when you try to pick it up and making it harder to clean.

Performance very disappointing

The handle on this item is too weak for the 2 springs installed to close the grapple. We took one spring out from the get go. The biggest problem is the pick up of droppings in grass. The teeth on the grapple are to fine and when the grapple closes, it get's tangled up in the grass and the droppings get chewed up and make a mess. We had another model before, that had bigger teeth on the grapple and it performed excellent for years until I ran it over with the lawn mower. Item was returned to Amazon, found our original model on amazon as well.

Worked for two poops then failed

I just got this delivered about an hour ago. Went to use it to clean up poop. Two poops went in seamless and on the third, it somehow misaligned itself and no longer closes tight. I tried realigning, but no go. I’m sure I can’t return it since it has fecal matter on it but what a waste of money. Save your money. This product is what it’s meant to pick up ????

Warranty 6 months, part fell off in 7 month. No Customer Service

We purchased a good quality pooper scooper hoping it would last. Previous one was purchased at Dollarama for $4.50 which lasted 8 months. Paid $30.00 for this unit which lasted 7 months before a clip fell off making it unusable. Contacted company and was told the the warranty was 6 months sorry about your luck. I do not recommend this product.

Spring handle requires a fair bit of force to open shovel.

The biggest disappointment is it can only pick up a single turd at a time. If you try to pick up more than one turd they just fall out when you open the clamp to pick up the second one. Also if it's a messy turd it just sticks in teeth and attracts flies... Very disappointed. I missed my return window. I should have paid more attention as I would have returned it. Shovel and rake system much easier to use and clean up with.
