Dog Stairs

As far as l’M concerned, this product is a 5. But my dog wouldn’t use it. I made her go up the stairs twice. She did it easily, so I know she CAN do it. She seemed like she wanted to come up and be in bed with me, but she couldn’t jump that high, so I got her the stairs. She’s 9, so she may get arthritis soon, and when she does, I’m ordering it again.

Almost perfect

I like the weight, carpet and sturdiness. Top step meets my mattress height nicely. It’s almost perfect because they cut an important corner, although it’s easy to fix. The folding leg braces hold ok but there is a risk of the stairs collapsing due to the lack of a clip to slide over the joint to keep it locked in place. All that has to be done is take a piece of metal, bend it around the joint and crimp it, but not so tight that it won’t slide up when you want to collapse it. Be sure to place the metal on the upper half of the braces.

They're good for pets

Seem well built, has carpet for pets to grip while going up and down. What I haven't been happy about is the locking mechanism, they seem to be on backwards which will fold up if slightly bumped. Thinking of using velcro strip to wrap around the locks to keep it from being unlocked.

Not for 40 pound dog as described

hair easy attached to steps, just being in room. I'm pretty clean. stairs just not wide enough. for a small fur baby I think it would be fine. I returned it.

This Product Must Be Removed By Amazon

I amswered a question about how wide each step is and I realized I wrote a full product review. Here it is, a bit more fully reviewed. Sturdiness: 0 Value: 0 All other categories: 0 If I could give it ZERO stars I would. This is falsely advertised. Rhe dimensions of the product are incorrect. The brace that is supposed to stay put when pushed into place does not locked creating a serious safety hazard for your pet, and I wouldn't trust this with any dog at any weight. Sure, it's lightweight. It's light on quality that's why. Each stair is 14" wide but each of the steps depths are different. I just opened the box and am returning it immediately. There is NO WAY this injury trap of a product could support 80 lbs as advertised. Plus the stair landings are steep and because 3/4" of each stair is UNDER the overhang of the stair above it, it is only 5 inches of useable step for a dog to land on. I can't fathom any large breed taking such short steps down safely and without joint or leg harm eventually. It is SO wobbly, I am not even attempting to have my 60 pound English Bulldog try them. Additionally the diagram has the length of it as 30.5" but they are measuring the diagonal length yet that is NOT where the line of the length as advertised is placed. If you look at the diagram on Amazon it shows it is floor length when opened, the true length when the product is opened and ready to use. That is only 24" inches. Conveniently, this came with no paperwork, no help line, and no diagram. This is unsafe for medium/large or bigger breeds. I am instantly returning mine immediately unused. I will not chance my dog getting hurt to prove I am right. Amazon, you really need to pull this product and possibly others from the same company. Look at all the verified buyers 1 star reviews. We've done out job as reviewers, now go do yours as these reviews are CALLS TO ACTION for you to do something Amazon!

Not the most sturdy but they work

These stairs are perfect height for my senior pup to get up on the bed. I thought I’d purchased this brand before and they seemed sturdier. The great part is it comes fully assembled. Unfortunately the back legs that fold out don’t lock in. The first time he got on it, it collapsed. I ended up duck taping the metal brackets at the bends to keep it sturdy. Other than that it’s a good item.

It's nice except

The little metal arms that should lock in to place, so it will not fold down, did not lock in to place! So if it moved just a tad, it would completely fold down. I had to have my handyman put wire around the place that needed to lock, so I cannot fold it down to move it. Other then that its a nice set of pet stairs. I bought my first one of these probably 10 years ago, it had a different way to lock the legs, so they would stay locked up. As they say things are just not made as good as they used to make them.
