Impeller NOT under warranty. Deceiving!!!

It says warranty for 2 years but beware that it does NOT include the impeller. Most people don't even realize it until problem starts. If you have been using similar pump and it's usage intention, you will know that parts such as the impeller is the one that fails first. ALSO, they make it difficult to buy the part online. Actually, it appears you cannot buy the impeller online, at least for the original part. SO BEWARE!! It is sad that many manufacturers gets you to buy such items, then a part fails and you cannot buy the part. We trash a perfectly good working pump just because we can't get a part or they price the part so expensive that you would decide to buy a new pump.

Shuts off well, cycles by itself just great, pumps strong: UPDATED, shut-off failed ~2 months

I'm surprised how much water this can pump through a garden hose for the price. I'm not asking for a lot of lift from it, but still it really gushes like mad. Not sure what sensor tech they use to shut it down but it stops quickly when the water gets low and starts just fine when it rises enough. I'm using it to keep a drip-catching bucket emptied into a sump across the basement as a stop-gap until I can afford all the real plumbing work we need, and it's cycling a couple of times per hour just fine, very short pumping cycles but it doesn't mind so far (about 1 month now.) UPDATE: shut-off feature failed after ~2 months, runs 24/7 now BUT still pumping fine after another ~2 months like that. Has a constant trickle coming in to deal with so it's never dry, that's probably why it hasn't failed entirely and STILL pumps strong when it gets a sudden rush of water to deal with. Not sure why the auto-shut-off would suddenly fail on, but at least it didn't fail off, so, no floods.

Great while it lasted

The pump has a 2 year guarantee. It was shipped to me o June 20, 2020 and died August 18, 2022. 24+ months so it is out of warranty by less than a month.

The best fountain pump ever

I have a 4' tall fountain and have had several pumps - this is the first one that I don't ever have to worry about. This pump operates reliably & quietly, is appropriately sized, has an adjustable flow, and automatically shuts off if the water level drops too low. It has never presented a problem or had any issues. Highly recommend.

Quit working after 7 months

This is a pretty expensive pump so I expected it to last at least a year. It worked really well while it lasted so I gave it 2 stars. The cost is just too high to be a good value if the pumps stops working in less than a year. I did manage to contact the Pennington service department and they are replacing the item. So they get 2 stars more for excellent customer service.

Great pump - verify your specs first

This is a well built fountain pump with a real float-sensor cutoff. Don't hesitate to spend the money if it fits your application. You should pay attention to the fitment requirement of the pump - the parameter that caught me off guard was height. The pump can fit multiple tubing size, but the adapter is a single piece that you cut down to the appropriate adapter size. When using the smallest tubing size, you use the full length adapter. This will more than double the height of the pump. In my case, this resulted in the pump not fitting into my fountain. A little creative re-engineering fixed the problem in my case, but I would have been better off buying a smaller pump.

High quality, proper mechanical auto on/off with high and low level water detection

I used this pump for a dehumidifier that I needed to set up an automatic drain. Works perfectly for that purpose with about an 8 foot drain hose. Time will tell of course in terms of longevity, but so far it looks like a high quality product.

Reliable, easy to clean and maintain, clear and well written instructions

I have had this product for a year now and am very happy with my purchase. Low maintenance. Clear instructions on how to setup and do maintenance. Does not clog easily. Seems to work better than the pumps I have purchased at "big-box" stores. Update March 14, 2021: Pump still going strong. It has run 24/7 since I purchased it in September 2017. I clean it once a year as recommended. Update May 2021: It finally died shortly after a violent thunderstorm. Bought another one.

Does exactly what I need, Good pump, I use it to pump water from a bucket that catches water from my portable air conditioner, I put it on a smart switch I can control remotely and have a camera on it so I can see when its empty.

Fonctionne très bien pour ma fontaine de 3', un bain d'oiseau, mais mon chien boit dedans. S'arrête lorsqu'il manque d'eau, ce qui évite la surchauffe du moteur. Un peu cher mais livraison rapide

deja de funcionar subitamente!!!

Dejo de funcionar después de 1 año de uso para una fuente. Funcionan mejor las bombas negras de plástico chinas y por precio es demasiado cara para lo que duró. Como la bomba viene sellado el motor, no hay nada que hacer. NO LA COMPREN
