Not as simple as it looks...

Are you stuck between using these versus the rivets that require buying a rivet gun? BUY THE RIVET GUN! These are not as simple as they look, and there's no indicator so you don't over-tighten them. What ends up happening is 1) you'll notice that you're over-tightening them, 2) you'll try to fix it, 3) you'll l ultimately wear out the rubbery piece, 4) the nut will fall inside of the hole, and your set of 4 pad eyes is now a set of 3 because you don't have any extra nuts. I bought 2 sets in order to put 8 pad eyes on the kayak. I was able to install 6. The other 2 pad eyes are useless since a total of 4 nuts failed on me. Bottom line - I wish I had gone with the riveted option instead!!

Nylon eyelets, no spare parts

Was expecting a higher quality kit, but essentially paid 3 times of the price for comparable stuff on Amazon, just because the pelican brand. No spare parts. Finger acroossed that the rubber nuts won't go missing. For the same price, could have gone with a comprehensive rigging kit.

Works well, Great Kit!

Honestly, these are the best pad eye for attaching accessories to your kayak! Wish they were maybe just a little bit bigger so I could clip multiple things to each one more easily. I recommend this product, I’m actually going to order a second set!
