Awesome product! Beware of unfair reviews.

#1 - it is stated about 15 times - DO NOT use liquid chalk. If anyone is giving a negative review and used liquid chalk - that is an unfair review. #2 - I intentionally used liquid chalk, figuring this was a one time use for me. Nope. Magic eraser, a little elbow grease and patience is your friend. Sure, it’s not perfect but I’ll be able to use it again and nobody is going to know the difference in the photos. #3 - My two boys seriously abused this board when we were taking photos. Typical boys who got bored after mommy took the first 15 photos of their first day of school ever. Not only is the board in one piece but it looks brand new (except for the little bit of damage I did removing the liquid chalk). I will use this thing until it disintegrates. I am going to use a clear coat acrylic spray and see if that seals it and allows the liquid chalk to come off easier. However, I am not going to blame the manufacturer or seller if my experiments go awry. This is the cutest, sturdiest little board. So simple, no extra fluff. Perfect for my needs and exactly what I wanted and was looking for. Love, love, love it!!

These don't work with Chalk Markers

It's mostly my fault so i shouldn't really take stars off but I want to catch the attention of people like me who didn't pay attention to the fact that it's wood and chalk markers do not come off of wood if left for more than a few minutes. The sign is adorable and I treated it with the chalk but didn't account for chalk marker staining so much so this will definitely be a one off use unfortunately. Vinegar didn't even lighten it so if you want something permanent i have the perfect recipe for you! ;)

Great after some modification

We purchased this product years ago. Back then there was no sticker that said not to use chalk markers, so we learned the hard way that chalk markers will leave permanent marks on the board. Aside from that, we loved the board, so I purchased two new ones for my kids this year to start fresh. I applied two coats of an acrylic sealer to the boards and now chalk markers wipe clean with just water! (Photos show the old sign without sealer and the new sealed sign after wiping clean).

Easy and quick to use.

Easy to use. Clean with wet towel right after taking picture but still have visible track of what just wiped out. It didn’t show in the picture taken for another son whose school started a few days later though.

Good for tests and smaller pages but not much else...

I got this to store some of my pre-schooler's projects and beyond, I was a bit upset to see that anything bigger than standard 8 1/2 by 11 in pages wouldn't fit without being folded. Even construction paper, which is hardly larger, would not fit in this folder. Disappointed. But, if all you're saving is tests or essays its great.

Exactly what I was looking for

Good value for what you get. I used the chalk that it came with and erased the text right after using with a wet paper towel and it came right off. We’ll be using this for years to come!

Ordered 2. Both were broken on arrival. Poor quality.
