Big fan of Palmers and best smelling self tanner around!

I’ve used Palmers cocoa butter moisturizing lotion for years. When I saw they had a gradual tanner, I jumped on that and ordered immediately. I’ve been hooked every since. It’s not easy to find in stores but Amazon always haves it or order directly from Palmers website. It’s smells like the original cocoa scent but gives a natural sunkissed glow, just like you’ve been at the beach all day. I highly recommend trying this.

Just ok

Absorbs pretty quickly. Smells like chocolate. Don't get me wrong, I ♥️ chocolate, but I don't want to smell like it.

Works fine, not my favorite Palmer's

First of all, let me say I'm a Palmer's fanatic. Next, let me say I haven't used a self tanner for probably 25 years when I used to splurge on Estee Lauder and I was young and sexy. I remember the crazy expensive stuff being very potent and you had to be super careful applying it (and letting it dry without moving) or you'd get stripes on the backs of your ankles. The Palmer's isn't like that. I usually use Palmer's classic or coconut oil body lotion; this self tanner isn't as thick as these, but is very smooth and more fluid - but still a good moisturizer. It's a light cream color and goes on smoothly. It smells a little different from the classic cocoa butter lotion, definitely not as strong...but still nice. As for the tanning: It does, in fact, produce a gradual tan. Just enough for me so I don't look so pale as warm weather arrives. I am 59 and have a number of age spots (sigh, years of tennis in the summer sun). I have NOT noticed any darkening of my spots, which is the only good thing I can say about them. SO. Overall, this is a nice, gentle self-tanning lotion. I love Palmer's products and I can recommend this with confidence.

My legs are tan!

I like Palmers products and I especially like the fact that there's cocoa butter in it. It's definitely a good moisturizer and my legs did get tan after about three applications. One of the things that I thought would be great. I read the item description, was that any sunspots you might have already on your legs would not get dark from this lotion. That is not the case. The spots did darken. I'm still using it. I still like it, very light scent, absorbs easily, just need to use it daily to maintain a tan.

This lotion is certainly adequate if you want a light tan and a mild moisturizer. It works as advertised.

LOVE????LOVE????LOVE!!

Love this lotion! Color is so nice noticed a slight change in just one use. Absorbs quick, not greasy at all and I didnt have to stand there waiting for it to dry. Some reviews said it smelled bad so I was alittle afraid to use, smelling it straight from the bottle it doesn't smell as good as their body lotions but after applying it it smells like chocolate! I think people need to remember that just like perfume a product can smell different on everyone due to their chemical makeup. What it smells like on my skin may not be what it smells like on you. But after using it for 3 days I have a significant sun kissed glow! Will definitely be buying more!????

THE STANK OF IT ALL

The color payoff from this lotion is out of this WORLD. Unlike anything I’ve EVER experienced from a gradual tanner but THE SMELL, Jesus, fix it!!!!! I’m a fair skinned, natural strawberry blonde with rosy undertones and while the smell won’t stop me from using it because of how moisturizing and perfect the color is... the SMELL restricts how and when I can use it. I just wish that wasn’t a factor.

Glad I bought plenty!!

I've recently acquired a sun allergy that makes it impossible to get any sort of tan via sun or tanning bed. I've been using Palmer's Cocoa butter lotion for over 30 years for my entire body including face so I felt a little more at ease trying this product. After only 2 applications I had a nice color that was dark enough for me. No streaks, goes on easy and not orange but natural looking. I did however fail to be cautious with my elbows but that was my fault for putting it on like I put my regular lotion on. The smell doesn't actually stink but is very distinct and not as pleasant as the regular Cocoa butter lotion so I probably would not put it on again before I go somewhere. I'm very satisfied with this product.

Subtle tanning

I’ve used Palmer’s before and it works very well. I use it overnight so that I can rinse my legs in the morning. The aroma is distinctly sweet chocolate, which as a chocoholic is very nice, but it can be a little bit too much. For best results I use a mitt to apply the lotion. The mitt allows you to spread it very evenly and saves the palms of your hands becoming stained. It’s good stuff, try it.

Reasonable vegan gradual tan

Bought this as its vegan and cruelty free compared to other big brands which aren’t. Tan: nice golden colour, but a bit patchy and wore off quickly Smell: classic cocoa butter fragrance, slight biscuity undertone as with most self tan. Overall, I’d keep it up top up a tan but perhaps not start one from scratch.

As the other review I wish I had read ????????‍♀️ the image is very deceptive, I thought there were three bottles but there is only one. Completely over priced for what it is! especially when you can buy it more sensibly priced on Amazon with a difference supplier!
