Laughably easy to pick, there are better locks out there at this size

This is supposedly a 5 on Master Lock's 1 through 10 security scale that they include on their product packing. It seems no more secure than the pink 146D padlocks that I have from them that are a 4. It looks tougher? Maybe that's worth a point? As a lock, it's only four pins and is very easy to pick. It's significantly better than the woeful brass 140D that they make which is vulnerable to combing and shimming. I wouldn't trust much of value to this padlock. If it's just a lock for the sake of any lock, it'll work. I picked up on sale, and recognize that it's hard to get a better lock at the price I paid. But I was only buying it as a lock to pick and play with. If I wanted to secure something of value, I'd likely spend a little bit more. Amazon sells Abus, American Lock and multiple other reputable brands that have sub-$20 offerings that will provide significantly more security than this lock.

Great locks but shackle is too thick for what I need. Just outside of 30 day return window, so I'm stuck with these locks I do not need.

Great for storage units

Bought these for a two sided storage unit that I wanted to be able to use the same key for. These were heavy and rugged and served their purpose well.

Ordered this to keep people from throwing stuff out in a construction trash bin. I would use these only for securing things you want to keep people out of, like a gate, trash bin etccc. I wouldn't use this lock a valuable bike. Te locks are well built but would be easy to cut

Lasted one year outdoors

Used this outdoor for my gate. One year later the area to put the key in has turned white, sort of like when a battery goes bad and white stuff forms around it. Was hard to get my key in it since so much crust has formed. I don’t think this lock is made for outdoor use, so giving it 3 stars. Next lock I buy, am going to look for outdoor weather use.
