Great Product--Much Better than Expected--Couldn't ask for more

I write few reviews and when I do, I have had the product for an extended period of time. Not this time. I just pulled this out of the box and am really impressed. Packaging is well thought out. None of that skin ripping plastic that you have to cut through with snips. I will be able to keep the unit in the molded plastic tray for easy care and storing. They included the 2 AA batteries. The hook has a small magnet on the back of the unit to keep it out of the way. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. I immediately went out and weighed my two propane bottles. One was full and gauge accurately listed it as full. The other was one I was going to have filled as the inline gauge indicated I was almost out. When I went to get it filled it felt like there was still a significant amount propane inside. I put this new gauge on and it recorded 1/2 full. I have gone through 4 inline propane fuel gauges. EVERYONE of them, from different mfgs. have given inaccurate readings. Since many places now charge a minimum regardless of how much gas is needed. I finally decided to give another type gauge a try. I chose this gauge after reading reviews from many manufacturers. One of the top reviews for a different mfg., EVERY review indicated how difficult it was to get the battery cover off. Plus it takes one of those expensive flat batteries. The readout on this is really bright and easy to read. It has 3 different modes, Propane tank, regular scale and a thermometer.

Great product. Much better than other options I explored

This is great for us. We have two of the typical tanks on the trailer, plus two more (traveling in truck bed) for fueling our generator. When full these weigh 37 pounds. I can quickly determine whether these need refills, top-off, or they're all set. I just use the standard weighing function. I put stickers on the tank or on the scale to remind how many pounds correspond to full, half, etc.

Accurate and easy to use

We have a gas grill, griddle, smoker, and turkey fryer and use them a lot. I used to hope I had enough propane left in a tank when I started cooking. This scale let's me know when a tank is running low so I can make sure I have a backup ready. You could try to do the same with a bathroom scale, but this is much more convenient to use.

Use this gadget!

If you are basically just using one or two small propane tanks and don't need to know the exact amount of gas in your tank, then this is without a doubt the cheapist, easiest and best way to go. Personally, I got so tired of reading mixed reviews on virtually every digital read out gadget, and/or being dismayed at the outrageous costs. When I saw this simple weighing thing, it felt like a breath of fresh air. Hook, lift, weigh--that's it.

Tried it out - like the device output, shows visual color signal and the actual weight

This device gives much more granular input than the scale in my Weber grill. It shows the color for full, mid-way or empty (Green, Yellow, Red) and it shows the actual weight of the tank and gas combo. Knowing the weight of the empty tank (aka the tare weight), then seeing the combo weight, enables me to understand exactly how much or how little gas is left. No more guessing. Worst part is that I have to remove the tank from the grill to assess. Only takes a minute out and another minute back, but wish there was a way (which I might yet figure out) to weigh while under the grill.

Works!

I purchase this to weight 20 pound LPG cyclinders. It works! Now I know how much I have left. I really haven't used the other features.

Great and accurate scale!

Great product! Easy to use scale and seems to be accurate. Used it for luggage on a recent trip and the measured weight matched what the scales at the airport showed. Would definitely recommend!
