Amending my original review of I love this product

I am amending my original 5 star review as this unit stopped working after 1 month. I am so bummed about this as I loved this handy appliance and used it 4-5 days a week with wonderful results. Ovente claims it has a limited 1 year warranty but you cannot talk to a customer service representative. The prerecorded message directs you to the website to take care of all problems. I asked a question on the website and did not get an answer. Then I emailed them and have not received an answer. It has been over a week with no answers. I have contacted the seller and will hopefully get some satisfaction. If this unit works it is great and if it stops working like mine then it is not worth it and you may be out your purchase price. I love this product. It comes with a basket and a grill pan. I have experimented with cooking frozen and fresh food items and am impressed by the lack of time it takes to cook. It seems to cut the cook time by at least 1/3 if not 1/2 for some items. I even made a small quiche using the basket and a small dish. It took half the time and was every bit as delicious as baking it in the oven plus it was the perfect size for 1 person. I find the grill pan to be quite useful for meats and fresh vegetables. If it can fit in the basket or on the grill pan it can probably be air fired in this device. I have played around with times and temperatures to get the food to my liking. It is very easy to use the preset times/temperatures but I usually set it for what I think it should be and have not been disappointed yet. Yes it takes up space on the counter but I don't mind that as I have a fair amount of counter space. Truthfully, I have set it up on the stove until I make a designated space on the counter. It's quick and easy and leaves foods, that are generally fried, crisp unlike a microwave that leaves everything limp. This is more like a convection oven in my opinion. It is very easy to clean up as well.

JUST RETURNED MY 2ND ONE!

UPDATE: I just returned my second one... both of them 'blew out' within 60 days! i only used each one maybe 10 times... Amazon is FANTASTIC and is refunding my money for the 2nd one even though it was beyond the normal return time. YES i am buying an air fryer. NO i am NOT buying from this manufacturer BUYER BEWARE! ==================================================== My favorite new kitchen appliance! yum yum yum! at first i was skeptical reading review that i could 'french fries' without oil... YES you can!! here's the deal... i read the directions and it said to soak your sliced potatoes in water for 20 minutes... yeah, i did that... once but i'm way too lazy... so for the past 3 weeks that i've had this i've experimented... 1. i don't soak my potatoes... instead i let them cook/fry for a total of 25 minutes ... yummy and (25%) brown and crisp! 2. i read some people used PAM or other vegetable spray... i tried that and it was great .... but found out that i don't need it at all! my fries cooked just as well without spraying the goop... 3. cleanup is 30 seconds! really! just wash out each bin ... nothing sticks because of the non-stick coating 4. this model (white) is absolutely GORGEOUS in my kitchen... 5. i spent almost 2 hours researching all the air fryers and chose this one... it was the RIGHT CHOICE! 6. it has pretty blue LARGE digital readout which automatically rotates from 'temperature' to 'cooking time left' -- nice! 7. comes with a separate 'pan fryer'... YOU WILL LOVE THIS AIR FRYER!

New to Air Frying, really like this oven.

Chose the Ovente over the many options available because of the electronic controls and the fry pan option that came with it. The controls are easy to learn and I like that you can set the time for a full hour where most of the others only go to 30 minutes. Tried it out baking 3 potatoes (sorry Dan). They took 15 minutes less than it takes in our oven and doesn't heat up the kitchen anywhere near as much. Like the crispy skin, it came out great. Next, homemade french fries, they are different from the deep fat variety, but I like them better, more potato taste comes through. Now use it for most common jobs we used to heat up the big oven for, again with less heat warming up the kitchen. Continuing to explore more uses, there are many videos on YouTube to give you ideas. Try it, you will like it.

Graphics wiped off

The graphics/numbers for times settings wiped off within the first 2 weeks so there in no way to tell how long to cook . It’s a guess

Awesome air fryer at a great price!

LOVE this product! Bought this as I was looking into other conventional fryers but didn't want the grease. A friend recently purchased an air fryer and I went browsing for one for myself after all the good things she said about hers. I ended up choosing this one because it was less expensive than others and had a nice big frying basket. The controls are easy enough despite it not being a fancy digital air fryer. The free fry/grill pan is a great bonus. This fryer "fries" foods nicely and quickly, getting them nice and crispy without the extra grease from oils and without having to heat up the whole house using the stove/oven. Highly recommend this product!

Easiest way to cook perfect steaks

I have used my airfryer a couple of times. I made potato, steak, and chicken breast. It worked very well and really, I like it. Usually, I hesitate to buy something that they advertise on TV as a magic but the performance of the airfryer was beyond my expectations. I have never made such a juicy steak in 15 minutes and I am super happy with my purchase. This airfryer is big enough for two people. The basket looks durable and easy to clean but I prefer to cover its surface with Steamer Paper for better protection. A grill pan will come with fryer but I have not used it yet.
