Best chain company out there.

I purchased 3 loops of this several years ago. I cut approx. 6 cords of Oak & 4 cords of pine a year. I also limb up and trim properties in a commercial setting. This is perfect for my Echo 590 stock length Oregon bar. Chains last a long time before they wear to the wear line. These are heat treated and blue on the cutters. Also there is no kickback safety so you cannot really find these in any store in California, not illegal just not popular to safety types. This will give you increased cutting speed and sacrifice some anti-kickback properties for people who understand how to mitigate those risks. Also Get a GOOD sharpener, I recommend something with a spinning disk, learn how to use it and never have that curving saw cut where you cant cut straight again, its not your your bar, your chain is sharpened on some teeth more than others... This is the most common reason i see people buying new chains and bars.

Great chain

I bought an Echo CS-590 off of facebook marketplace, and I was discouraged when it took me over 5 minutes to cut through a single 12-foot diameter tree. The bar would start to smoke from the friction and dull chain, and there were burn spots on the inside of the tree. It's my first chainsaw but I figured the stock chain had to be dull. Now it cuts like butter. Great buy, much better deal than big box store!

The chain on my new 20" chainsaw dulled and finally broke after several afternoons of cutting seasoned Juniper wood. I have a friend that used to own a lumber business who advised me to use Oregon chains. I bought two of these Oregon 72LGX070G chains. These chains cut through the Juniper logs three times as fast as the OEM chain and after cutting nearly a cord of wood the first chain is still sharp as new. I've noticed also that I don't have to stop every four or five cuts to re-tension the chain as I had to do with the OEM chain. I've had no issues with kick-back. Should I ever wear out the two chains, I will definitely repurchase these Oregon chains.

Amazing difference from stock chain

After reading somewhere that consumer chainsaws usually come stock with a low-kickback chain, I was curious if this more professional chain would be manageable and cut any better. OMG What a difference! I've replaced my chain before with another low kickback chain, with obvious improved results over the dull chain it replaced. But this thing is ridiculously easy. I experienced no kickback cutting up an oak tree maybe 17" diameter. Very satisfied.

A good chain

I use these chains on a Poulan 2050, and I like the chain much better than the saw. They'll cut like crazy. Unlike another review I haven't experienced problems with the Poulan bar or nose-sprocket in combination with this chain. Every time I fuel-up and add bar-oil I sharpen the chain using a 7/32 round chainsaw file, (25 degrees on the cutter & a 10 degree angle) and I grease the nose-sprocket. Give it a try. It works for me. I hope this will help alleviate problems and frustration for others.

Agressive!

Be careful! Very sharp, and may possibly cause euphoria from the velocity and aggression this sucker cuts through pine/oak. This is a chain not to be messed with. It will turn your chainsaw into a demon! Don't mess around with Lowe's or other parts stores. Buy this. You want this chain. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face (as long as it fits). Fits my Husqvarna 372xp 20" bar wonderfully!
