Careful With That Chainsaw Eugene!

When I was first learning how to run a chainsaw, I didn't know about proper chain tension (I kept mine way too tight). I also used my chainbrake far too often and usually while the chain was still spinning. After about a year of this abuse, the saw just quit on me. I tore it all apart and lo and behold I had ground the teeth right off my drive (or "spur") sprocket! This affordable part was the perfect replacement on my Husqvarna 450 and got me right back into the lumberjacking action. Since then, I've learned how to adjust and operate a saw and have not needed to replace this part since. But I bought a spare just in case I ever need it. Another winner from Oregon!

Works fine for Husqvarna 350

I've cut wood for about two hours using this sprocket. I also replaced the needle bearing. All is well. I checked U Tube videos of how to install the sprocket. Used a cotton clothes line piece in the spark plug hole to stop the piston from moving so I could remove the old sprocket. The piston cut the clothes line as I whacked the old sprocket, but I managed to poke around with a wire to free the bit of line then cranked the piston and out came the cotton. So use a nylon or similar line--not cotton.
