Looks great but interior finish peels off from soap.

For whatever reason, bath and body works soap makes the finish peel off from inside. Dissapointed it didn't hold up after 1st filling soap.

Lost its luster!

The dispenser was absolutely stunning upon arrival. However, the mercury glass finish must have been on the inside. Within a week, the liquid soap dissolved the lustrous finish, exposing the color of the orange anti-bacterial soap through the etched finish on the outside. That totally defeated the reason for purchasing this dispenser. If I wanted to see the soap, a less expensive, clear glass one would have sufficed. Not to mention a concern about mercury poisoning, since this soap was used to gently clean dental appliances.

I only wished it looked as good in person as it does in the photo.

I agree with glcmac's review in that the item does not look anywhere near as nice in person than in the photos. Not only are there issues with the finish as in the previous review, it looked to me, from the photos, that the scrollwork designs went around the entire dispenser , as well as the matching items, and it doesn't which also makes it look cheaper.

Pretty and well constructed.

It's well made. The metal top fits over the glass and this makes it stronger and safer. I bought 2 of these to replace the ones I had previously been using. The metal plunger 1 inch cap was glued to the 1 inch glass neck and the top quickly separated from the bottle. Had to throw them out. These should last. It's very pretty and I'm glad it matches the tray I still have from the set.

Inside Material Flaking Off!

I ordered two of these soap dispensers for my master bathroom. I just filled them with soap yesterday, and this morning I see that the material on the inside of the dispensers is bubbling up/flaking off. I should have heeded the other user's review. Do not waste your time/money/soap with this product. Unfortunately, I was past my refund window; fortunately, Amazon did refund my purchase. Love Amazon!
