It's a Small Luxury, but I Notice

The old painted over hinges—to use a foreign expression—"made my eyes itch." It has been on my things to do to replace them for a long time. I ordered the steeple tops, but got the balls instead. Still, they are a little nicer than the flat tops. I'm submitting pictures so you can judge for yourself. They were a perfect fit for the old hinge. The hardest part was getting the old one off with the painted on stripped screws. They are pretty heavy and solidly built. The door rotates very smoothly on them.

Missing parts

I ordered 3 hinges and found one set was missing the steeple tips and the screws. Now, I have to make a return, reorder, and hope this time I get all the parts.

Keep getting the wrong hinges.

Who is responsible for the shipments? I ordered 20. They are heavy and beautiful. The problem is out of the 20 only 6 are the same. The rest are different sizes, different corners (square instead of round) and even different finishing colors put together in the same package. The person who makes the packages doesn't see the difference between polished brass & antique brown? I ordered 8 of the above hinges with the special end tip. They were mailed in two packages. 2 arrived yesterday perfectly. The other 6 arrived today without the special tips. Returning again. This company is driving me nuts. Since I already put the 6 correct ones on my french doors I will keep trying to get the correct hinges for my other doors. Otherwise these hinges deserve 5 stars.
