Pay attention to actual size not nominal size!

We just received the filters and were surprised to see that they were smaller than the normal 14x25x1 filters we usually get. I checked the listing and sure enough, the actual size is smaller than what is nominal size. We've never had this happen before. Be sure to check dimensions. These are very loose in the return.

Width was half an inch less than perfect size. Be sure to measure air opening of unit for best results.

According to research by Angie's List: "HVAC filters with a MERV rating between 9 and 12 are usually the best choice for homeowners who want the best dust control possible." ([...]) Glad and grateful that MERV 12's were readily available on Amazon. However, we are reluctant to give Nordic Pure five stars because a 14-inch wide filter is a more of the right size for our unit, not 13.5 as disclosed, which means that we have to tape a strip of poster board along both sides of the filter to ensure a snug fit for best results. This will be necessary for the next five times that we replace the filter since we got the 6-Pack. Unfortunately, with that said, we will be shopping around for exactly what we need in the future.

Average filter for the money

I have been using these filters for several months. They do seem to catch allot of dust/dirt. However, I noticed these filters tend to allow more to pass around the filter. I have more dust inside the unit than previous filters, not sure if its flimsy cardboard, but they do catch a ton. If you plan to change them inside of every 3 months I would say they are a safe option, but if you are a 6 month+ type of person. I would say give them a go, but if you experience the same issue - switch off.

Air filters - easy as you please

These came in a nice giant box and I shouldn't need to buy any more for a while. Filter quality is good and has been doing a good job cleaning the air. Lots of dust when I replace them.

Received a used return

Received a returned box, with one of the filters pre-used. Not badly used, but still, really? Couldn’t replace it with a new one? Keeping it cuz can’t be bothered returning the whole pack for the one item which will be discarded. Disappointed, as I bought Nordic before and was fine with the product.
