Paid more for a reliable unit

I bought two air fryers in the past... * The Sharper Image SUPER WAVE OVEN With The Halogen Infrared Convection And The * COSORI Air Fryer Max XL 5.8 Quart basket. The Sharper Image stopped working on the heating element about six months after I purchased it, where the dial to set the temperature you can set, and the dial timer works but the halogen lamp stopped on turning on. (To be fair, I purchased it used from another on-site seller) The Cosori was working great (bought new), but then a Manufacturer's Recall came where there was faulty product build on these units which resulted in the unit creating/catching fire when using, And advised to stop using immediately to reduce the risk of fire. Long Story Short...The Cosori Manufacturer made it extremely hard to submit a claim for a replacement, and after trying three times, the claim was rejected due to one reason or another. After completely giving up on submitting my legitimate claim and losing the $120.00 I paid for that Cosori Air Fryer I also learning that many others who purchased it also were also having their legitimate claims denied for one reason or another. I finally decided to pay over $200 for this item with a Premium Name Brand and Have Not Been Disappointed At Anytime. Everything on the product was well designed more so then my previous purchases I made. Saving money for a lower end product name, in my experience and opinion is something that will cost you more in time, stress and frustration.

Unit is TOP HEAVY, Mostly Plastic on the bottom, and Can Be Dangerous

I think it's important to clarify a few things on this unit - for those folks that face lack of room, like me. The reality is that most people that buy such devices have small apartments and don't want to be bothered using stoves. They want easy-to-cook meals in a short amount of time. Right? This is a TOP-HEAVY unit. It WILL topple over on an uneven surface or attempting to place it over a stove area when trying to lift open the top. It was the first thing that happened to me after I unboxed it and placed it on top of my stove. I had to lean the unit against my dutch oven (also on my stove) in order to make this whole situation work out. When you look closely at the amazon pictures, you will notice a thick plastic on the side which extends vertically down. It is meant to make contact with the surface the unit is on. I had previous (and cheaper) air fryers that I kept on top of my stove (due to lack of room). These were all bottom-opening units. It is why they continue to be more popular over more extravagant/larger units like the Speedi. I'll be dead-honest that these reasons are probably why the cheaper, basket-removal types of air-fryers tend to be most popular. I have no complaints as far as how the unit itself cookes food, and I still gave it 4 stars because it does what it claims to do. It is also easy to clean, but I wait until the unit has cooled down for at least an hour. I would've gone with a different Ninja product if I knew what I knew now.

quick easy one pot meals for the busy mom

So, I was looking for a bigger air fryer and our anniversary was coming up, so I researched all the current air fryers out there and found this one. My hubby got it for our anniversary. I haven't gone back to stove cooking since I got it. It's super easy to clean. I have made burgers, steak, chicken, rice, pasta, & veggies in it as well as fries, chicken patties and other snacks that we would normally just put in the microwave. All crisp and/or crunchy. It's so easy to use that my son uses it all the time too. The only negative is that you need to be careful when the lid is up because you could burn yourself or if you are not careful you could burn yourself trying to take the basket it out. I know my son did it. But not enough of a negative to have 4 four stars. I also use the app to find recipes for items that I already have in the freezer, fridge and/or pantry. It's so nice to come home and prep a meal - protein, rice/pasta, veggies & it is all done at the same time - 15 minutes. I made chicken alfredo with broccoli last night and it was simple, delicious and the clean-up was one pan which made it quick and simple. I love this 12 in one cooking appliance. I've also used the sauté setting and that was great as well. However, I haven't use many of the other settings, but my next try is to bake a cake, some bread, and trying the dehydrating setting. I highly recommend it.

GAME CHANGER

Listen, if you don’t have this…you should! Since I’ve gotten this magic machine I’ve been eating healthier and cooking is so much less of a chore! Not to mention less dishes! If you aren’t convinced yet you can just skip to the third part of this review… I work at a hospital on the OR floor and My work days are 12 hour shifts. I do not have the energy to cook and do dishes afterwards. My significant other has been doing all the cooking these days and I felt bad not being able to help with that. As my FIRST dish, after receiving this in the mail, I made the most delish salmon and jasmine rice dish in 15 min. I was shocked because when I started prepping, I was thinking i will probably botched this because its was my first time using this device. It was perfect and I should have made more salmon as my bf could not get enough. My SECOND dish was a Italian sausage risotto with Arborio rice. Yet another successful dish. TONIGHT I made a Chicken with garlic parmesan rice. A dish I was more cautionary on because it takes a more pans and steps. It turned out so good I was prompted to write this review. I love this thing and I’ve been telling everyone about it.

LOVE IT

I really like this appliance! I am not big on cooking because it can be difficult to do everything with 2 little kids. This makes it so much easier and I can make healthy quick meals! The only things I don’t love are like sometimes we need 2 boxes of rice instead of 1 which you can’t do. Also, I find it more difficult to find recipes/instructions for this as compared to the Foodi. But the receipt builder website by ninja for this is AMAZING and super super helpful!! I have been recommending this thing to all my friends and family who don’t like to spend hours cooking!

Air fryer was 120v and usa 2 pin plug. Returned

Couldn't use as wrong voltage for UK and had USA two pin plug. Other reviews confirm same problem. £7 out of pocket for boxing and wrapping.

Love it!

This is one of the most useful appliances I have ever had. It is practical, shortens the time one has to spend cooking, It has different programs for different needs. I have been using air fryers for over 3 years and they are definitely convenient and they save you a lot of money in energy bills. However, this speedy meal feature is a game changer. It works very well for my little family of 3 and given that we usually don't eat huge meals. I have tasted different options, but my favourite so far has been asparagus. They are much better than grilled asparagus! Chicken breast also cooks nicely.
