Safe grip for tubs and showers

Very easy to install, no drilling needed. Very satisfied with it.

A little disappointed

I can't say that I would endorse this product or suggest anyone use it. I bought this for my husband to use after his knee replacement surgery. I wanted to be extra careful in the shower because it is so easy to slip. I attached it to the side of the shower and was so happy with the length and how well it seemed to adhere to the wall. When he was ready to take a shower, I gave it a firm tug, to make sure it was firmly attached. During the shower, he lost his balance and grabbed the bar, it came off of the wall and he started to fall. Luckily, he was able to grab the smaller suction bar by the entry to the shower and it held firm. I thought this incident was my error because I hung it wrong or the connection was wither needing to be wet or dry. After several attempts under all circumstances, I found the adhesion to be unreliable. I think it is partly the length of the bar causes the force against the suction cup to be too great. The smaller bars ultimately have the support of the other suction cup because they are in close proximity to each other. If you use this, just be careful! Do not put too much weight on it and make sure to have a second or even third backup safety bar.

I would highly recommend. Keep checking for a good attachment to the wall.

This was purchased for a replacement. I have several in my shower. Sometimes it helps just to have something to steady yourself or hang your washcloth. I have 3 smaller ones up higher and this one actually is in the lower part of my shower. I use it to hang my bath mat for in the bottom of the shower. I try and clean often as they tend to want to mildew and check often for how well they are attached to the wall. This one I didn't check as often because if was down low and with the mat over it when it fell off the wall it broke a rather large piece out of one end. It still worked fine. I was concerned that if this would happen while I was in the shower the sharp edges could cause an injury. Please remember to check all sizes before useing the shower. They work great and replacement is an added expense that I only had to pay because I did not check the attachment to the wall. So neglect on my part. This type of a bar is also a very good way if you need something more permanent to decide on exact placement should be. Not just height but where and at what angle.

Suction power! And big!

We have tried several bars for our shower and had to send them all back because they wouldn't suction, until this one. I wouldn't trust it to pull me up out of the tub, but I use it to help me keep my balance while I shower. I have multiple sclerosis and when I close my eyes to rinse my hair and face I tend to wobble and potentially could fall. But this guy is stable enough to lay my hand or arm on and keep me in place. Highly recommend. Tip: bleach or use rubbing alcohol to clean the wall and the suction cups before installing.

They are secure

My mother in law is over 100 years old and is presently living with my wife and i. she is able to walk with a cane but when it comes to taking a shower she needs something to stead her. we put this grab bar in our walk in shower but the tile had too much texture. we then moved it to the tub shower in the other bathroom that has a mat but smooth tile. i installed them which was very easy. then i checked them each day to see if they it was holding fast. i was happy to discover that once it was installed on a smooth tile it held. in fact now it has been up for a couple of weeks and seems very solid even when i pull on it. very happy that i did not have to drill holes in my shower tile to install a grab bar. if you have smooth tile ... get one of these. the price is fine and it works great.

GREAT!

Loved it the minute I took it out of its packaging! It is on my shower wall to hang up our bathtub mat to drip. I also use it to hold onto while getting out of the shower. It is so easy to install and it is very sturdy. I would buy this product again and its smaller sizes too. Well worth the money!

Not safe

This came with grey buttons not blue as shown (which is why I bought from this seller - I could have got the grey version cheaper with others). It doesn't stick to all our tiles and it isn't very strong (can give way and drop off if you hold it). Not stable or safe for someone disabled.

Very good length and holding power

The bar is nice and long. The longest I found in this price range. It is 20 inches center to center of the suction cups. Very easy to remove and re-position but holds on very strong. Looks good and is well made. If I did not find this, I would have had to buy 2 separate handles. Smooth finish with rubberized grips in the middle. Easy to keep clean. Just clean the surface before attaching the suction cups. Read the instructions, to remove, all you do is lift an edge of the suction cup with your finger nail. I installed it at an angle, but it can be installed in any position you like. Just be aware that it will not stick properly over a tile grout joint or rough surface. It attaches & removes by lifting or pressing down the levers on top of the suction cups. Product does what it's supposed to, very well and also looks good.

Grip Bar

This may be a good product used in the right place. There are many places it can’t be used as the surface as to be absolutely smooth. I wanted to use it on my bathtub which has ceramic tiles. It will only stay on for a day or part of a day. It then falls off the wall as it loses it’s grip. I have tried everything and have given up on using it. Looks nice and is made good but no good for me.
