Maybe there was a problem with mine because it was WAY too small

The skirt was about 4" smaller around the hips than the package indicated for a size 12 skirt (my mom, a really talented seamstress confirmed that). I ordered another one to see if it was just some kind of error (plus now i need to cut a higher size) because I do like the actual design of it. I chose to put my zipper down the back but cutting the bat piece in half. That way there's no added bulk at my hips. Nice design, but if you do a short skirt first and want to do a longer one later, you'll either need to trace the short skirt or buy another pattern because once you cut the short skirt it would be pretty difficult to use the pattern for the long skirt.

New Look 6053 Skirt Pattern

I have made one skirt with the pattern and am very pleased with the outcome. I have to get more material before I use the pattern again. I will use another version of it the next time.

This is a super simple skirt pattern. Easy and vey quick to make. The size I measured from the size chart was a perfect fit. I know I will make several more!
