Real customer service is a rate thing these days.

I purchased this set in April 2017 and had no issues until a couple of months ago. The 5/16" bit broke when using way too much force (my fault). Then a couple of weeks later, the 1/8" bit broke using normal force (not my fault). I decided to reach out to Neiko to see if I could order those broken pieces instead of buying a whole new kit. I was not asking for them to replace them for free; I just wanted to know how to order new bits individually. I sent the pics of the pieces and explained I caused one to break and the other failed and they shipped new bits at no charge after 6 years. Their warranty is 30 days. I know it wasn't a big expense for them but in today's environment, it's nice to know that actual customer service is not dead. If I have a choice, in tools going forward, they have earned my business because they sent me $3-4 worth of tools, when the didn't have to.

Pleasantly Surprised...

I had originally purchased this set a couple of years ago, specifically to use on a handful of tamper-proof fasteners that I run into. They work fine, nothing special. The reason I am writing this is because of a recent project I completed. I was putting together a bunch of office chairs and needed a 5mm allen to drive the fasteners. The only 5mm I had handy was the one from this set. As is typical of office furniture assembly, the fitment of the pieces was not great. I originally tried using my screw gun, but it was not powerful enough. I put this socket on my 20V Dewalt Atomic Impact Driver and it managed to force those fasteners to thread up and tighten down (giving them the full beans...). I stripped out a couple of the bolt heads and probably cross-threaded more than a few, but the socket held up like a champion. This was not a proper use of the tool, but just my personal experience.

Great set that will come in handy when you need it

I purchased this 2 years ago and am just reviewing it now. I've noticed after not using the set for a while a little surface rust will form but that's not specific to this brand or product. A trick I've learnt recently is to put some desiccant packets to dry out the moisture which will prevent this from happening. If you just need a couple of bits and are having a hard time justifying the purchase, all I will say is I cannot count how many times this has rescued me. Standard hex keys don't have enough leverage sometimes and this set comes in handy breaking those bolts free with a ratchet. All in all, I'd recommend as a good set.

Could use One More Addition

I love this set! I grab it all the time to do my job. The ONLY drawback is that it doesn’t come with the two bit drivers it needs to be used for a screw gun. Granted, I could buy them separately (which I did), but it would be nice to have the two slots in the case for their storage. Regardless, this is a great set

Heavy duty design compared to other hex allen kits. Comes with all the sizes you'd need for your garage projects.

So glad I bought this kit! Comes with all sizes you will ever need in your garage. I have used and purchased a handful of Neiko tools and they always impress me with the quality. Alot of different hex allen kits i've seen have a skinnier shank where the hex goes into the socket which acts as a weakpoint and have seem some fail. These hex bits do not have a skinner shank but remain consistent all the way through. Used these for some stubborn bolts that broke lose very easily with a breaker bar, tried allen keys before and could not budge one of them even with alot of heat, penetrating fluid and rubber mallet.

Decent quality for price

For the price it’s a nice set and it’s not missing sizes like some other sets. I used it 4 times in the last 2 weeks and they seem strong and true my only complaint is that they don’t snap into the storage case so if it’s open you have to be careful not to dump them everywhere other than that it’s a good buy

Decent product, came on time.

Smaller sizes are 1/4 inch, 3/8 would be better. This set is tough. The shank is very heavy and I put 4 different sizes through the test. Definitely a good set for the money.
