Cute feeder
This feeder is appears to be well built. I ordered the bamboo one and so far holding well. Took a bit for the birds to use it but now they visit quite regular.

Good, could be better
I like the idea of this bird feeder. Birds love it. American Goldfinches and House Finches fed within 5 minutes after I put it out. The edges of the bamboo feeder need deburring—it was an easy fix with a sharp knife. The roof was split down the middle and not glued together, so I put wood glue to weather proof it a little. Glue gets rid of the slop as well. The plexiglass is rough on the edges, could be cut better. I have two other cheaper feeders from two different makers and their plexiglass is cut clean by pros.

Birds love it! But not good in rain.
It took about a week and a half for the birds to discover it. At first I thought it may just be a nice looking piece of hanging art. But now it’s become functional art. Birds love it and the squirrels haven’t bothered it at all. Update: During fall/winter in Oregon it rains daily and the feeder developed mold all over it. Unfortunately, I had to throw the feeder away.

Hit & Miss
I previously had one of these (currently using as of July 15, 2020) that I bought in a local store. It has worked well. The birds seem to like it. Easy to fill and the grate at the bottom keeps the seed dry. However, the crossbar inside at the top in which the hanger goes through, the screws have stripped and it is coming apart. Thus, I ordered a new one through Amazon. It was delivered and when I opened the box, the grate was MISSING, and one of the clear plastic panes is MISSING. Thus, you can't fill it with no grate and only 1 pane! I decided to keep it. I'll use the grate from my old feeder, and one of the plastic panes from the old feeder as well. Before I ordered this one, I had ordered a Nature's Way Cedar Vertical Feeder. (just like this, only in Cedar). When it came, the roof was broken in half. Since the hanger goes through the roof and through the inside crossbar, there was no way of swapping parts and getting it to hang. Thus, based on three of these feeders, I have to conclude they aren't very well made. It's too bad, because the clean, easy fill, keep the seed dry, and attracts a wide range of birds. Cardinals, Blue Jays, finches, grosbeaks, nut hatches, titmuse, sparrows, Golden Finches, etc. I would rate the feeder highly, EXCEPT for either not well made, or in the case of the last feeder, missing two key parts. Based on this, only a 1 star rating, and I might not order bird feeders online anymore. 12/15/2021 Well, squirrels ruined the plastic sides of another feeder. Thus, I did order another one. It arrived today without any damage that I can see. My question is why was the feeder that arrived today, and the two that came in 2020, shipped with NO PACKING material in the box to help keep the feeder from being knocked around in the box and to cushion shipping drops/throws and other handling? It just baffles me that no packing material was in the box. I keep getting these feeders, because the birds do seem to like them better than other feeders. We get Blue Jays, Cardinals, Nuthatches, House Finches, Gold Finches, grosbeaks, etc. at these feeders. Just ship them more carefully!

Always good
I have purchased over 10 blue bird houses from Nature's Way. Always good stuff. Bamboo will last longer than cedar. I always throw a few coats of high gloss poly to extend its life.

Attracts Birds, but poor quality

Easy to fill and the grate at the bottom keeps the seed dry. However, the crossbar inside at the top in which the hanger goes through, the screws have stripped and it is coming apart. (can't repair as too thin to use larger screw) Thus, I ordered a new one through Amazon. I ordered a Nature's Way Cedar Vertical Feeder. (just like this, only in Cedar). Birds of NC love this feeder!
Great large platform for larger Jays and woodpeckers. Usually every single perch is occupied by hungry birds. Super sturdy and easy to clean! Love it ????

Warranty vs buying new
Had this product for a year and the roof top has broken up from the edge about 1/2” piece. Yes it is under warranty for 10 years but I’d have to pay for a US 21$ for shipping costs ( not including possible other taxes because it comes from the US) for a 7.50$ part (that is free under the warranty). Then what else is going to break early ? Needless to say I’m not going to replace the part. Too bad they don’t have a way to deal with this differently. They seemed genuinely friendly but don’t realize that their warranty when you have to pay for shipping is a wash. Might as well buy a new feeder

Works well with black oil sunflower seeds
I find it works well with small black oil sunflower seeds but not with shelled peanuts. The problem is with the clear plastic sides. The gap at the bottom is only big enough for small seeds to slide under. Peanuts get stuck and block up the feeder.
