Well made.

This thing is very well made. It is solidly constructed, and the screws are nice and long. This is built to last.

good but needs better mounting hardware

Nicely made metal construction. The supplied mounting screws were undersized and if used would not overly secure shackle to surface. I used bolts and nuts bought from local hardware store( for less than 75 cents) which made it much more secure. This is used to keep childrem out of a cabnet thesupplied screws were only 1/2 in wood screws and easily pried from wood surface.

Tiny

My bad…did not read how big it was. I was going by the photo. Looks larger in the photo, but it is tiny!!!!! Won't do for a latch on my gate, so will use it for something more appropriate. I'll get around to get a larger one for the gate in the near future.

Simple and inexpensive

i bought this to add a padlock to a storage chest, and it works great. Not super durable feeling, but good enough for something basic.
